Klaus spares her mother because Lake is like a little sister to him. But also because she is his brothers mate. She was made a part of always and forever when she saved Rebekah and Marcel from Mikeal's clutches. Marcel stayed in New Orleans. But the Mikealsons know that he is alive. Stefan found out that Lake is his and Katherine's daughter when they met in Chicago. Rebekah never got daggered by Klaus because she stayed in New Orleans with Marcel. Only because Lake convinced Klaus to let Rebekah to be happy. Marcel , Rebekah, and Lake come with Klaus to break his curse. Lake pretends to be a new student. And Rebekah does too. Marcel pretends to be a substitute for the art class.
