At the cafe that evening, Namjoon called a meeting between everyone.

"Namjoon, what is it, is something wrong?" Jin asked worriedly.

"I received a call two days ago from my superior. Jongshin knows my name, and is looking for me."

"What, how?"

"Police case file."

"I would've thought a case file against a former police chief would be sealed and classified."

Namjoon nodded at Yoonji's statement, "It is. However, Jongshin, or someone working for him, blackmailed an officer to go into the sealed file to obtain the name of the witness who; " helped his son put him behind bars." Unfortunately for the officer in question, he needn't have worried about the blackmail, as he was caught immediately, though I'm not sure how.

He had taken photos of the information within the file and sent them to the blackmailer through an email, and numerous text conversations between both were still on the phone."

Yoonji lifted a brow, "I assume they have or are attempting to trace the messages, email and phone number itself?"

"Number belonged to a burner phone, the email was a fake, but they expected as much, and instead are focusing on the burner phone."

"So, what's the plan here?" Yoongi asked.

"Learning my name is one thing, any other information they discover about me, will be what we feed them."

"What does that mean?" Jin asked.

"It means the techs back at headquarters are feeding them false information. They'll be given a fake phone number. If they try to access phone records they'll find faked calls and text messages between me and you that the techs have planted.

The plan is to use me as bait to lure out, if not Jongshin, the person working for him."

_____

"Jungkook, sweetie, your father and I have something we need to tell you."

The new semester was about to start, and Hoseok and Jimin were going over their class itinerary, schedules, and so forth, when Jimin's phone rang. Pulling his phone from his pocket, he smiled brightly when he saw the name of the caller on screen.

"Hi, Kookie!" Jimin answered excitedly, before he heard the light sniffles from the other end, "Kookie, what happened, what's wrong, why are you crying?"

"Are...are you really my M-Minnie hyungie?"

There was a moment of silence before Jimin spoke again gently, "Do you remember?"

Jungkook's voice was soft and tear filled, "I-I don't know, hyungie, I don't know."

_____

"I don't like this."

"Jin hyung, it's gonna be fine. This is what I do, and it'll only be for a little while, I'll be back before you know it."

"He's already killed one of your agents, Joon, I'm scared."

"I know, but I promise it'll be okay, there'll be undercover agents around me, I'm not doing this sting alone."

"I know, but still..."

"Hyung, I know you're worried, but I'll be careful."

"I just don't understand why you have to do this. He may know your name, but he doesn't know what you look like, so why not use a decoy agent?"

Normally, that would be an option, but it's possible he's already seen my face, so a decoy might not work and instead tip him off."

Jin frowned, "How would he know what you look like?"

"If he was able to get my name, it wouldn't be hard to get my likeness from years ago, if he searches old news articles. Your face was covered and image blurred for privacy, considering the high profile case, but my face wasn't. I may have been a key witness to your father's case, but I was also a police officer, something I'm sure he'll remember, if not already."

Jin knew Namjoon was right. Namjoon, though a government agent for the FBI now, was a police officer at the time and not only being in on Jongshin's arrest but also a star witness to all his crimes, his father would certainly know what Namjoon looked like, having to see him in court every day of the trial.

Namjoon was right, Jin knew that, but that didn't mean he liked it.

_____

Jungkook didn't know how to feel, despite crying to Jimin hyung over the phone.

Jimin hyung.

His hyung.

A biological brother he never knew. A brother he didn't remember, from a past he didn't remember. A past he was far too young to remember. But, Jimin wasn't his only brother, he had another, the eldest, the one who gave him and Jimin away.

To save them, his parents said, save them from their father, who has escaped from prison and has yet to be found.

He couldn't remember anything of his past, but he was saddened by the fact that he was forced to give up two older brothers who very clearly loved him. Or, maybe deep down, he did remember. Jimin hyung sang him a lullaby he said his older brother would sing to him and their younger brother, a lullaby that sounded so familiar to him. Now, he knows why. He was the younger brother Jimin spoke of, and the lullaby was sung to them by the older brother who's name and face they don't remember.

Fate had given him his Jimin hyung back, but now he wanted his oldest hyung back too. He wanted it desperately.

_____

Jimin walked back into the living room ten minutes later looking as if he cried, but also as if a weight had been released from his shoulders, and a smile of both relief and joy was present on his face.

"I take it the call was good news?" Hoseok asked.

"It was Kookie."

"Oh, is everything okay?"

"He knows I'm his brother, he...he knows who I am." Jimin said with fondness, his smile soft.

Hoseok smiled in return, "I'm happy for you Jiminie."

"He called me Minnie hyungie, he used to call me that when he was little."

Hoseok was happy for his friend, happy he found a brother he lost so long ago, "Does he remember?"

Jimin shook his head, "Not really, like me, his parents only knew so much. They told him of being given away to a new family and to having to be separated from two brothers. He was told our past was complicated and dangerous, which is why we were split up, and why our parents weren't aware of each other's identities or locations. We were likely never supposed to be reunited, for our own safety probably, but we found each other nonetheless."

"Does he know of your biological father's escape?"

"They told him."

Hoseok nodded in approval, "That's good."

"I told him we can talk about everything when he moves in."

"That would be for the best. You two definitely have much to catch up on."

"He asked if I knew where our hyung was, I told him I didn't know, I don't even remember his name, but that I intend to find him."
