Part 4

In the car ride back to Ethan's house , it was nothing but awkward silence as if everyone was in a state of shock at what just happened.

The worst part is I'm not sure what I'm more shocked about. On the fact that I almost died , almost became a vampire cult member or the fact that I have powers.

We arrived back as Sarah pulled into the driveway of Ethan's house. Everyone got out and I was the last one to exit the car.

"So um, is nobody going to talk about what just happened."

They all look at my direction before weirdly staring at each other. "I think we should all go home and rest tonight. I'll see you guys at school." Benny walks off and I looked back at Sarah and Ethan hoping they would have something to say.

"I think that's a good idea, my mom should be home soon so we'll talk about this tomorrow." They both walk off into Ethan's house , leaving me standing there in confusion.

They can't be serious. I sighed in defeat and walked back to my house before another one of those things came around again. I got in and was greeted by Blake as usual. He looked up at me with his cute little brown eyes and I couldn't help but soften up.

I went to the kitchen to prepare his cat food and milk and left it on the floor for him before going upstairs into my room. I sat on my bed still in a daze as I looked at my hands while flipping them back and forth slowly.

I then did a flicking motion with my fingers but nothing happened. After about 7 failed attempts I could only get puffs of smoke to come out and gave up as I layed back on my bed looking at the sealing for a while. Moments later my phone rings and it's Sarah calling so I answered.

"Weird night tonight huh?"

"Yeah you can definitely say that."

There was a pause for a moment but I decided to break the silence. "Hey , I'm sorry I didn't believe you when you told me about getting bit. I thought it was a prank or something."

"Hey no worries, trust me if I were in your shoes I'd react in a similar way myself."

"So, what happened?"

She told me the story on how a few weeks ago her and Jessie were taking things to the next level but she never thought he actually turned her. She told me that she didn't want this and is trying to find a solution before her mortal body dies in 28 days.

"Oh and Ethan and Benny found out shortly before we came to the party. They caught me feeding on a rat in an alleyway."

"Oh gross, I'm sorry that's the only food supply you have to resort to."

"Well when you prefer to not murder people to feed your hunger you have to improvise."

"I bet the boys were freaked out too."

"Yeah they screamed like little girls, but I gotta give it to them for being brave enough to step into a vampire party. That or they're just complete idiots with no alarms going off."

"After hanging out with them for a while, it just might be the second option."

We both stayed on the phone for about 10 more minutes before I realized it was getting late and I needed to get some sleep. How am I able to sleep after tonight's event? I don't know. We both hung up and I got up to take a shower before heading off to bed.

The next day it was after school and I couldn't focus much during the day since I was anxious to talk to Benny or Ethan about what happened.
