I wake up to my head pounding, feeing distraught as I lift myself up in my bed.

I really shouldn't have drank that much last night

My ears are ringing, I look around, digging through my purse that was left on the ground in hopes to find advil

When I can't find it, I groan, getting up to grab some from the bathroom

A few moments pass and once I've found the bottle, I look up at myself, my eyes going wide

There's two hickeys displayed over my neck.

Fuck.

I know they're from Charles, thankfully I didn't drink enough to have forgotten that key detail, but at this point, I wish I had.

What is wrong with me? Why would I let him kiss me, let alone give me a hickey.

Will he hate me even more now? Maybe he'll finally be nice?

I groan, rubbing my hands over my face in annoyance with myself, I can't believe that I could be so stupid. So naive. Again.

I quickly go over to my phone, calling Amelia

_

"Who in their right mind is calling me this early in the morning" I don't answer at first, pulling the phone from my ear to see what time it is

"It's eleven, you're fine Amie"

"Oh! Hi Thia"

"Good morning sunshine"

"Wait why are you calling me? I would really like to go back to bed" I can practically hear her hangover

"Right! I almost forgot, so there's been a slight problem"

"And...?" she drags on the word, awaiting an explanation

"Remember when that girl had that hickey and didn't know how to get rid of it so you helped her"

"Does miss Alethia Verstappen have a hickey"

"I know you're smiling right now and I really don't appreciate it"

"Oh come on! It's funny!"

"It is not! I feel like a teenager again!"

"Okay okay, fine, put a spoon in the freezer, then after a few minutes take it out and massage it against the hickey, it should go away after a bit"

"Jesus, is there any not weird way?"

"A whisk works too"

"Yeah i'll stick with the spoon"

"Suit yourself, i'm going back to bed, so enjoy!"

"I hate how smug you sound"

"You love me"

"On occasion"

_

After hanging up, I walk to the kitchen to put the spoon in the freezer
