unrelated, but newfound obsession with daniel radcliffe unlocked after a rewatch of goblet of fire; i never realized it cuz of his crazy-ass lion's mane hair but his JAWLINE. HIS FUCKING JAWLINE. SEARCH IT UP RIGHT NOW HIS JAWLINE.

think of this chapter being in honor of something along the lines of that(i'm talking about dark harry, not the jawline thing) even though i had it planned long before i stumbled over THAT particular fic (don't ask me for the name i won't tell)

Harry(husband)'s Pov

Things went wrong before the plan even began.

And it was all Riddle's fault.

They had gathered in the entrance hall of the manor- Harry, Ron, Griphook, Fred, George, and Luna- To meet up with Riddle and the two undercover operatives who would be traveling into the bank itself to make sure Riddle stuck to the plan. The others were coming as backup in case something went wrong, while Harry would be there to confirm that what Riddle brought out of the bank was the true locket of Slytherin.

The plan was simple. Riddle would walk in, Riddle would walk out. So long as the goblins hadn't been warned beforehand, they would have no reason to suspect that the Dark Lord's son was working on behalf of the enemy's wishes. It was a gamble, but Mattheo's abduction hadn't been made public knowledge so far. And according to Snape, none of the Death Eaters he knew of had been notified of it either, so as to not show off a vulnerability that might be exploited. So chances were, things would go just as smoothly as they hoped it would.

So, yeah. A simple plan. Harry had definitely been through worse. He just wished Luna would listen to him and stay behind. There was no reason for her to be endangering herself like this, putting herself out in the open, exposing herself to a situation that could turn drastically dangerous were something to go awry.

Of course, when he expressed his concerns, she gave him a knowing look that conveyed accusations of him being a hypocrite. Which he was, but that was besides the point.

And then, Kingsley brought out the keys to Riddle's restraints. After all, they couldn't expect the goblins not to be suspicious if Slytherin's heir walked in with his hands bound. Riddle would also be offered an ornamental stick in the place of his wand, one that had been carved by Ollivander himself.
