“Aw, shit. Why's everything animated?” You stuck your bottom lip out as you looked around. Everything, from the grass to the birds around you, moved as if they were animated for television, messing with your vision as you struggled to adjust.

Though you'd never been in this situation before, you knew better than to start freaking out. Who knows what would come your way the moment you started making noise? An animal? Or even worse, a man?

Where were your siblings? Lyssa? You definitely weren't in Houston anymore. As long as Lyssa was near, your siblings weren't going anywhere. Yet for some reason, you did? Well, you wouldn't get any hint of where you were if you just stood looking stupid. Wait!

You patted your dress down, feeling your phone in your pocket and your large bag still on your person. Inside was your wallet as well as everything else that was there before you showed up here. With a sigh of relief, you pulled out your phone and pulled up the online map. 

You noticed that you hadn't received any calls, though the only person that actively called you was Lyssa. Weird… The online map opened, but it didn't show the familiar map of Houston like it always did.

“I’m near the Village Hidden in the Leaves.” You deadpanned at the map displayed on your screen. Pinching the bridge of your nose, you took a deep breath, “You know what, imma roll with it for now.”

The map showed you how to get to the village, and within a few minutes of walking, you found yourself at the very gates. The younger you would've freaked out, often wishing you could see this in real life. Now that you weren't as intense of a fan anymore, it almost felt nostalgic in a sense.

There was the iconic duo, Izumo and Kotetsu, dozing off at the check-in buildings set outside the gates. You smiled, taking a quick and harmless picture of the two leaning onto each other as they slept. After doing so, you spoke up.

“Excuse me?” You said, causing the two Shinobi to yelp in alarm at the sudden disturbance. The two looked at you after they rushed to wipe the drool off of their chins, practically choking upon seeing you.

Kotetsu grinned, “Hey, I love what you got going on there, Miss.” He gestured to your outfit.

You peeked down at what you wore, realizing it was a sleeveless Bohemian type of dress, your favorite. You loved how it hid your figure but showed your arms. Your wrists were hidden by amber bangles and thin gold bracelets, shimmering in the light. Your hair was in braids, put up in a head wrap with a few ends peeking out the top.

You agreed with him, despite hearing a smack in the air, meaning Izumo probably just smacked the shit outta Kotetsu for talking to you like that. “Ooh.” You inwardly winced, the smack sound crisp to your ears.

Izumo spoke up, “H… Hey there, Ma'am! Sorry about my friend, he never learned to catch his tongue. May I see your traveling permit?” He held out his hand, expecting the required item from you.

You furrowed your brows, “I don't have one.”

Izumo and Kotetsu looked at each other in surprise, before looking back at you. “Well, where did you come from?”

Right off the bat, you can't say Houston, Texas. Now you had to play dumb, “I… I don't remember, actually. I woke up in the woods and just walked until I got here.” You absentmindedly pointed to the forest behind you, a worried look on your face.

Kotetsu broke the silence, “We can take you to the Hokage and continue from there.” He offered. “But first, do you possess any weapons?” Izumo continued.
