In your dream, it was warm.

Opening your eyes, the world around you was a gray haze. It was dim enough for you to see your surroundings clearly, not too bright to strain your eyes. There was no one in sight, a vast stray land before your eyes.

It was a sight that almost made you panic, empty spaces upset you. Before you could even make a sound, a new voice spoke up.

“I know it's a little scary, but don't let it freak you out.”

The voice was so familiar, but you couldn't place a face or name to it. It was a woman, but you didn't recall any character with that voice. Why did it make you feel a certain way then?

“Have I been gone so long that you've forgotten my voice?”

You jumped at how much closer the voice sounded, whipping around to see a woman a little taller than you.

Her hair was long and white like snow, in a low and loose ponytail that barely touched the floor. She wore large robes that hid her figure entirely, only her head and neck were visible and she was paler than paper. Her eyes were a light lavender, relaxed and welcoming along with her painted red lips.

She looked almost exactly like Kaguya, but you don't remember seeing her in the series at all!

She looked at you as if you knew each other. Holding her hands together, the woman looked you up and down. “I liked that style too, it looks better on you.”

You shook your head, “Who ‘re you?” She was terrifying, and her behaving like an old friend was creepy enough.

Her gaze softened, her lips forming into a small frown. “Oh, my baby…” The woman held her arms out, as if expecting an embrace. She took a step towards you.

You took a step back.

At that moment, you nearly regretted doing that. The look on her face made you believe you had destroyed her world just then. Her lips curled inward, and she looked up as if to hold back tears.

“... If…”

You tilted your head, she had paused due to her voice breaking. The way she wiped her tears was so graceful, she had to have been an actor. Was that where you remembered her from?

“If this is how it must be, then I have no choice but to support you as a stranger.” Her lavender eyes met your (e/c) ones once more, “Despite this, I will keep loving and knowing you. My life force, you are everything to me.”

“Who are you?” You tried repeating, only for no sound to come out of your mouth. Your eyes widened, looking down at your hands to see them becoming transparent.

“You're waking up, (Y/n).”

You looked up to the woman, seeing that she was walking your way. Her brows were sad, her lips in a beautiful pout; she reminded you of Lana Del Rey, an inconsolable loneliness no matter what you would do. You couldn't move back, your feet stuck to the ground as she held your face in her cold, soft hands.

“It's your first day at the Academy, I'm sorry I won't be able to take you to class again. I can only wish you a wonderful first day, make friends and have fun.” She pressed a kiss to your forehead. “Know you are loved and love itself.”

For a moment you were 6 years old again, when your mother bid you goodbye when dropping you off on your first day of school. The air was warm but the classroom was cold. You cried for your mom not to leave you, but she could only wave back as she walked out of sight. You were too young to see that she was crying too, so sad that you were growing so fast.
