✩The Spider Within✩

(Hey guys, while I'm working on Surface Tension part 4, I thought I'd take a break and do a side story for The Spider Within. Also this takes place around a few months after the end of Spider-Man into the spiderverse)

3rd person pov
At the Morales house

It was another usual night as Y/N was walking home late from stopping another crime as Spider-Man. It had been around 6 - 7 months after Y/N was bitten by the radioactive Spider and became New Yorks one and only Spider-Man. Well, atleast from this universe. As he neared his destination which was his house, his mind was flooded with different emotions that tied to stress and anxiety, his mind was also covered in painful memories of being Spider-Man that all ranged from having a building fall on top of him, being slammed hard into a car, falling almost 200 feet, and a lot more. Y/N opens the door to his family's house and walks in, closing the door behind him. He looks around, noticing that everything's quiet, he gets suspicious but continues walking towards the living room when he gets jumpscared by someone wearing a mask

Y/N: Ahh!

???: haha, got you!

the person takes off the mask revealing it's just Y/N and Miles dad

Y/N: oh, it's just you dad, I thought you were a different person. Why did you put that mask on anyways?

Jefferson: because, I bought 3 scary movies so we can watch them together all night. Just me, you and Miles

Miles waves on the couch

Miles: yo

Y/N: sup

Jefferson: I even got the 3 of us popcorn and sodas

Y/N: that sounds nice and all but... I'm kinda tired, maybe we can watch them tomorrow or something?

Jefferson: oh, are you okay son? You don't seem like yourself, it's not like you to reject watching some scary movies

Y/N: yeah, I'm sure. Like I said, I'm just tired

Jefferson: alright, well goodnight

Y/N: goodnight

Y/N walks into his room, accidentally slamming his door closed

Jefferson: *muffled from the other side of the door* aww man, don't slam my door!

Y/N: sorry!

Y/N puts his headphones on and sits in the window, staring out of the window at the night sky thinking about all the stress that's building up inside of him. Eventually the stress gets too high that Y/N's spider senses go off for no reason making him snap out of his thoughts and take a good long look around his room before sighing and deciding to go to sleep. He lays down and tries to go to sleep but notices something's off... he opens his eyes and sees a shadowy figure standing infront of his bed, staring menacingly at Y/N. The shadow figure looks just like Y/N which creeped him out

Y/N: what the...

Y/N tries to move but nothing happens, he realizes that he's stuck. The shadow figure moves towards Y/N but suddenly disappears. Y/N thinks that's the need of it but when he looks up to his ceiling, the shadowy figure is slowly flying towards Y/N. Eventually it touches Y/N's chest which freaks him out before pushing down on it before pushing down on his chest,t breaking the whole room and shattering it. The 2 fall into a train like room, the one that looks like that one place Y/N had once fought King Pin. Y/N notices he can finally move so he charges up a huge fire in his hand before running towards the shadow figure and punching it but surprisingly, it doesn't move at all. It's like it couldn't feel pain at all. Y/N backs away as the shadowy figure starts to grow into something much larger. It soon grows into a large spider that resembles the same one that once had bit Y/N, giving him the Spider powers to become Spider-Man

Y/N: woah...

Y/N starts running as the spider chases him through the train, eventually ending up in his bedroom that has red lighting in it . The huge spider then turns into 1,000's of mini spiders that crawl all over Y/N's room, some starting to even crawl on Y/N himself. Y/N screams and crawls to the ceiling of his room from how scared he is, which ends the panic attack aswell as the sleep paralysis. Y/N curls up into a ball on the ceiling for a few minutes, taking deep breaths before getting down from his ceiling and walking out into his living room to talk to his dad

Y/N: hey dad, can we talk..?

Jefferson: sure, is something wrong?

Y/N: well, kinda, it's just that... can we talk outside?

Jefferson sure

The 2 of them walk outside and take a walk as they talk, walking into the distance until their out of sight. which ends the short story
