You Know I love you

You felt the sun on your face as you tried to open your eyes. Your head was killing you. You reached out next to you to find Emily, but she wasn't there.

You sat up, regretting it immediately as your head began to spin. You got up out of bed as quickly as possible and threw up in the bathroom. When you got up from the bathroom floor to brush your teeth, you jumped at your own reflection.

Some of your makeup from last night was still smeared under your eyes and your hair looked like a rats nest.

After cleaning yourself up a little you started to remember the events of last night.

You and Emily went out clubbing with some of your actor friends and got completely wasted. It must've been close to 4am when you got home last night.

You walk into the kitchen and still see no signs of Emily, until you hear someone unlocking the apartment door.

"Emily?"

She walks into the apartment wearing leggings and a sports bra, her hair tied in a low bun with a baseball cap.

"Hey, hunny!"

She says excitedly. You stand there in shock that she went for an early morning workout after drinking way more than you did the night prior.

"Emily how the fuck are you not hung over?"

She shrugs her shoulders and you roll your eyes.

"I don't know, I guess it didn't affect me that much."

She walks into the kitchen where you are and gets herself a glass of water. You walk over to her pushing her by the waist against the counter, leaning in for a kiss. She doesn't reject it but she pulls back almost immediately.

"What?"

You ask sadly.

"Let me take a shower first."

She says pushing your shoulders lightly.

"I'll be waiting."

You say in a flirty tone, squeezing her bum as she walks away.

"For God's sake!"

She says, smacking your hand away, but she has wide grin plastered across her face.

After Emily goes to take a shower you sit on the couch and decide to watch Emily's interview from Stephan Colbert. The interview was a few days ago and you were in LA for work so you never got to watch it, so you put it on.

As you watch the interview, in the middle of it she says,

"When Y/n and I had first met, I knew she was my soulmate. I have never met anyone more kind, intelligent, talented and just downright beautiful in my whole life. She just really cares so much for me and I think we would both do anything for the each other."

You started to cry. You loved Emily more than life and you knew she felt the same, obviously,  but hearing her talk about you that way to so many people made your heart ache for her.

You turned off the tv and walked up the stairs into your room. Emily must've gotten out of the shower because the water had stopped running so you knocked on the bathroom door.

"Can I come in?"

"Yeah!"

You walk in, and Emily has her towel wrapped around her as she applies moisturizer on her face. She meets your eyes in the mirror and frowns saying,

"Were you crying?"

"Uh yeah, I watched your interview on the Colbert show."

She looked like she was trying to remember what she said until it hit her. She turned around and walked over to you, gently stroking your arm with one hand as her other played with a strand of your hair.

"Sweetheart why did that make you cry? You know how much I love you."

"I know but hearing you say that about me on live tv just makes me feel like my heart is melting."

You wrap your arms around Emily. She smells so good from the shower.

"Aren't you glad I showered?"

She says, muffled into your t-shirt. You laugh and say,

"I mean yeah, you smell really good."

She laughs as you breathe in her clean hair, her shampoo smells like coconuts. You pull back from her and say,

"Can I kiss you now?"

She nods her head and kisses you deeply. You pick her up gently and spin her in a circle as she wraps her legs are your waist. Her lips move fast against yours as you bring her into the bedroom.
