FALLOUT , ──────────── DEAN

⇢ ˗ˏˋ Being a vault dweller was a privilege, a protected sacred opportunity at securing the future generations of vault 33. Everyone had their own job at upholding the reinforced concrete and solid metal sheeting that ensured the durability and longevity of the vault. So, in vault 33, there would be a marriage ceremony congratulating that man and woman who were available to procreate and bring offspring to vault 33. Vault 33 was wonderful, and what's even better, Vault 33 had a friendly neighbor who had available applicants to help with the future generations. Which in the councils words was called the Triennial Trade.

Meet Dean Maclean. He was the next one in line to get married and help carry the next line of children in the vault, but not everything can be sunshine and rainbows. He unfortunately had male infertility, and the chances of getting a woman pregnant were far lower than than the council needed. It sucked for Dean. He wanted to help the vault as much as he could. He passed every possible prerequisite, but something he couldn't control prevented him from doing so. But he had to look upon his unforseen circumstance with a smile and hope for the best for the next in line, his sister Lucy Maclean.

She passed every prerequisite and had her reproductive organs intact to bare children, and thus, her application to do the trade was accepted.

Dean wasn't mad, but his mind would always be in doubt if he ever could have children he could call his own. He drowns in his bouncing thoughts as he sits on a table, fiddling with his pip-boy. He was supposed to be helping getting her younger sister's wedding ready, but he wanted to take a break. Though his breaks consist of sleeping, playing games on his pip-boy, and wasting time.

His youngest sibling, Norm, took after him a lot. As the younger sibling, Norm, watched his older counterpart navigate the complexities of life being rebellious yet filled with determination, he couldn't help but feel inspired. He began to adopt similar hobbies and even develop comparable mannerisms. It wasn't just about mimicking his older sibling; he adapted to and evolved his own subtle ignorance and stubbornness.

Dean didn't disapprove of Norms attitude and behavior, but only did when he got out of bounds or didn't listen. But in the present, they both were playing on their pip-boy, and Dean didn't feel like lecturing his brother on helping out because he wasn't either. He went to the misc category on his pip-boy and pressed Red Menace. The games were the only thing that made his mind at ease about his infertility. He smirks and leans on the table. "Bet I can beat your high score on Red Menace."
