"Hey applepie"

"WOW GEEZ"

"Did I really scare you this badly?"
The guy with bright colored hair spoke

Brooklyn just shook her head with a small smile after slapping him on the head.

"Idiot..." She muttered quietly.

"Well I wanted to wish you the usual good morning of mine" He grinned

"Of course you did. It'd be suspicious if you wouldn't do that,something would definitely be wrong"

The girl spoke as she carefully put the needed learning material in her big cantaloupe purse.

"What's your shedule for today?"

"Looks like I have 5 lessons today being- Math,1st period. Physics,2nd period. Science,3rd period. Biology,4th period & I'll be ending this day with Physical education"

"Nice,I only got English,then nothing for a few hours and my 2 last lessons are French,followed by also pe!
You don't have to say the whole word by the way,just say pe,it's short and easy"

"Thanks,but no thanks. I prefer speaking my native language with all it's glory,so I'll keep using the full words"

"You're such a nerd,honestly"- The red head teased his friend.

"Well applepie,I'm not taking no for a answer,you better be free today after school because we'll be going to Fero today,wherever you can or can't,like it or not"
He huffed stubbornly.

"Don't worry Jo,I promise I'm only working 3 hours today,from 3.00 till 6.00 pm.

"Good. We both need Fero in our lives to survive. Might invite Nina later,we'll see."

"See you soon shorty"

Joe walked off dissappearing around the corner of the hallway

Joe left me alone again while walking to his friends still laughing to himself.

I can't believe the nerve of that boy!

Don't get me wrong,I admire Jo a lot,he became my childhood friend and ever since then we've been inseparable.

He found me in the yard reading a book while examining flowers. The other kids were playing hide and seek but I'd rather find a suitable,peaceful place for me and back then my only friends(a.k.a my dearest books)

Joe started to talk and make jokes. At first I was shy and hoped he'd go away,but as each day passed he always came back to me with the same goofy grin and positive aura instantly reminding me that life isn't that bad..

The first time I spoke to him was after 2 weeks since we 'met'. I accidentally forgot to bring my lunch box,and Joe's mom,aunt Becky,made the most awesome,best in the world homemade applepie I've ever tasted.

Joe didn't even hesitate to share as he gave me a huge part and told me to enjoy it! That's when I thanked him and told him,his mom should make applepies more often.

That's also the story of how he came up with his silly nick name for me 'apple pie'

Anyways Jo is my only guy friend at school. I'm a little awkward with the other teen boys.

Me being introverted and having huge social anxiety problems,isn't the best combination..

Yet somehow I still managed to find a part-time job,take care of my mom and sister,spend time with my friends and very important,I'm a straight A+ student.
