"HE WHAT?!" Rothbart and Odile yelled after sally told her parents about the courtship ending. "It's over mother and Father I mean I too was starting to fall out of love with him so it was for the best." Sally said. "NO YOU WILL MARRY DANIEL AND HE WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER!!!" Rothbart yelled and this shocked Sally. "Father you can't force us to marry." Sally said. "Is there someone else?!" Odile demanded. "No there isn't anyone else." Sally huffed. "There better not be because I will not let everything I planned be all for nothing!" Rothbart yelled. "Planned? What are you talking about?" Sally asked. "Nothing sweetie just leave us." Odile said and Sally rose a brow. "No what are you talking about!" Sally demanded. "Fine all the trips we took was to get you to spend time with Daniel so he could fall in love with you and you get married so we can become the richest kingdom in the country and have the largest army to overthrow King Delmar then I will become the most powerful king!" Rothbart said. "Father... why are you speaking such nonsense! Delmar has been nothing but good to other royals and people across the land!" Sally yelled. "You will understand once you and sonic wed now go!" Rothbart glared. Sally was about to say something but her mother glared at her so she leaves in defeat. "Perhaps we should look for the sapphire once more." "Agreed my queen. Daniel will marry our daughter" he said and walks away. "I will make Delmar's Father pay by ridding his son as revenge for convincing Daniel's mother's father to deny my request to Court her." he thought as he walks into the secret spell room. He waved over an emerald stone embedded in silver mirror making it glow. "Mirror mirror, Show me the—"

"ODETTE!" Cream hollered and Amy comes running in. "What's wrong?!" Odette asked. "Look someone sent you flowers!" Cream squeaked holding a bouquet of daisies. "Who from?" Odette asked taking them. "Oh just that gentleman you danced with last week." "You mean that spoiled master Luke? He didn't give me much of a choice...." Amy sets the flowers down in a trash bin. "Oh I'm sorry I didn't know." Cream looks down. "It's ok Cream." Odette smiled. "Well there's going to be another dance in a couple of weeks let's go together and stick together this time. Please?" Cream asked and Odette smiled. "Ok" she giggled. "Yay!"

Sonic pulls out another arrow from his case and pulls the string on the bow. He feels the slight breeze and releases it making the arrow fly into the burlap sack cover hay bail with a painted target and hits the solid red circle in the middle. "Nice shot!" Tails said. "Thanks" "But can you hit it far far far?" Tails asked and Knuckles rolled his eyes smirking. "What about that sack of wheat over there?" Sonic points to the cart full of wheat sacks on the other side of the garden. "Impossible" knuckles said. "My favorite word" sonic smirked then draws another arrow. He takes a deep breath before he felt the right gust of wind and releases the arrow. The arrow flys in the air and through a gap in a statue before penetrating the sack. "Ok wow amazing your highness" knuckles said impressed. "Thank you my friend" he replied. The queen walks into the garden looking for her son not noticing the arrow was slipping out of the sack tearing a hole in the process. "Oh my!" They turn seeing the queen looking at the spilling wheat then glanced at their direction. Sonic winces as he hands the bow to Tails before speeding over to his mother. "Sorry mother..." he said as she dust off the wheat dust from her sleeve. "I'm guess you're having target practice today?" She said smiling. "Yes..." "Well I'm glad I found you I want you to take these into the village. We are having a ball to honor our people and who knows you might find yourself a new bride." She hands the invites to Sonic. "Seriously mother?" "Yes now tonight is a village dance you can distribute them there or send your friends to distribute them. Regardless it must be done. Enjoy the rest of your practice my son." She smiled and walks away. Sonic sighed then walks back to his friends and tells them about the ball and village dance.

He has no idea that tonight would change his life forever.
