Lake of Love

A hidden land

Sonic yawned as he stirred a small pot over the fire. It had been two days since he had left to find his beloved Odette. The only clue he had lead him to the missing queens memorial stone which puzzled him. He sighed as he held the silk scarf he caught after the wind blew it off Odette during their walk close to his heart and pulls out his journal.

Day two,

So far no sign of my dear Odette and I fear I will find her dead. Yet I know she's still alive and is probably scared. I won't give up. I know in my heart she's out there and I'm getting close.

"Odette I pray you are safe my sweet love...." He sighs once more closing the journal and places it in his satchel before he ate his food. Once finished he curled up on the sleeping mat and fell asleep. Unknown to him a small shadowy figure approached him and lays something down for him to find in the morning. "I trust you will find her prince sonic. For she misses you dearly." The figure thought before disappearing.

The sun reaches its late after noon peak and sonic packs up as his horse eats its dinner. He picks up his satchel once more and a jeweled cube falls out catching his attention. "What the hell?" He said as he bent down to pick up the object. "Odd..." he said and held it up close to the sun making it glow. He drops it as it beams a blue light leading him to a different part of the forest. Something deep in his heart told him to follow it so he picked up the cube and mounted his horse. Once he lightly tapped the horse to go he followed the light. "Please please let this lead to Odette!" He thought with hope in his heart as the horse rode.

Hours later as the sun was close to setting Sonic came to a beautiful waterfall and the light disappeared behind it. Sonic lightly taps his horse and carefully walked across the rock like bridge. A stone. Canopy appears slowly parting the waterfall letting him through. The echoing sounds of his horse's hooves fills the cave with a light at the end. Once he gets to the end of the tunnel he was in absolute awe of the beautiful hidden land that felt so magical. He looks up to the sky and sees a beautiful pink swan flying through the sky and follows it. "I have never seen such a rare swan!" He thought as he rode after the swan. He soon noticed the swan looking at the sun as it started to set and lands near the lake. He kept a distance and noticed the swan wore a beautiful sapphire amulet necklace. The sun finally sets then the swan's body glows and starts to form into a different shape. Sonics eyes widen and his heart leaped for joy yet was confused at the same time seeing who it really was.

"Odette?"
