Warning short chapter!
Sonic sighed looking in the mirror in his peasant clothes. "You ready to go?" He turns seeing Tails. "Yeah let's get this over with..." sonic said it to happy.
The village was once more lit up with candle lights, tables filled with delicious treats and drinks, and people laughing and dancing the night away. On Sonic's arrival the people bowed. "No need everyone just treat me as everyone else also you are all invited to a ball in two weeks to celebrate all your hard work." Sonic said and the villager cheered. Sonic sends knuckles and tails to hand out the invitations as he walks over to a table with delicious baked treats then turns his head as he continues to walk. "Hey Tails you want—oof!" Sonic bumps into someone knocking them down. "Oh shit I'm so sorry." He said and helps the girl up. "It's ok your highness it was only an ac....ci...dent" she blushed and his heart started racing once he gazed into the most beautiful emerald eyes he ever seen. "Wow..." he said and she brushed back a strain of her pink fur. "Anyways umm thank you for helping me up Prince Sonic." She said shyly and turns to walk to the bakery. "Wait what's your name?" He asked after gently grabbing her hand. "Oh umm it's Odette." She said. "Well Odette would you mind showing me around the village?" He asked and she felt cream push her closer to him. "Umm s-sure" she smiled and he smiled as well. For the rest of the night the two talked, danced, and enjoyed the festivities. For once in her life Odette felt heard and started to fall in love with the prince. Sonic felt his heart beating the more he got to know her and discovered she had an adventurous side she wants to make known but struggle with her shyness. He realized that for once he actually felt a different side of love he never felt with sally. Once the night ended sonic asked Odette if he could see her again. Odette smiled and agreed before giving him a kiss on the cheek. "See you soon my prince" she said and enters the bakery. "See you soon my rose" he smiled and went back to the castle.
King Rothbart growled before he smashes the mirror in anger.
"NO I KNEW I SHOULD'VE KILLED THE LOST PRINCESS!!!!"
