Chapter 4: [ The x Majority x Rules? ]
The airship landed on the Phase Three site, which consisted of a tall featureless pillar, built on an equally high platform. It was known as the Trick Tower. The name alone indicated the involvement of devious tricks, puzzling antics. and hidden traps. However, the participants were not informed of the Tower's foundation.
Beans cleared his throat drawing everyone's attention to him. "Everyone, this is the starting point for the Third Phase. This is the top of the Trick Tower. You'll pass if you're able to reach the bottom alive. The time limit is 72 hours. Well then, the Third Phase shall officially begin. Good luck to everyone."
"Are we supposed to get down there?" Leorio asked peering down the tower.
"Isn't that just suicide?" Kurapika asked.
'Isn't this whole test just suicide?'
"A normal person can't do it," a man's voice rang out. His badge read '86'. He began to make his way down the tower by ledging himself in between the cracks.
The experienced rock-climber grabbed hold of the pillar and slid his legs down until his balance was firmly in place. He journeyed down and his face grew pale. A gigantic beast with reddish skin and numerous limbs appeared from the side of the pillar. The creature opened its mouth, displaying its sharp teeth. The climber stood no chance and was eaten by the flying monster.
'How unfortunate.'
The girl peered around the platform, taking notice that more than half of the candidates vanished from sight. She remained cautious and skeptical around her surroundings. If ferocious beasts are lurking outside, who's to say what is crawling inside the tower? Pacing around the perimeter of the pillar, she stepped on a tile and it caved in. Sora fell to the ground and landed gracefully on her feet. A small stand stood across from her with instructions and a tiny speaker. A note was attached against the wall. It read; 'The five of you must follow the will of the majority to reach the goal.' Sora examined the podium and noticed the five stopwatches, displaying the letter X and O on it. She took one of the stopwatches and attached it to her wrist.
'Great. Now I have to wait.' Sora grumbled and sat down on the floor.

Time passed, and eventually, four people fell through the trap door, joining in as the last four members. Everyone landed perfectly on the ground except the tall man. He landed flat on his face, really hard. His face was covered in redness and his glasses remained unharmed from the painful impact.
"Finally." Sora sighed as she helped Leorio up.
The others put on the stopwatches. As soon as they did that, another door opened up.
"Press 'O' if you want to open the door and press 'X' to not open." Gon read out loud.
"Forcing us to use the majority rule already? The answer should be obvious." He lifted up his wrist and pressed one of the buttons on the stopwatch, along with the rest of the group.
O - 5 | X - 0
The door opened, allowing the examinees to enter through it. The door instantly shut from behind. A few torches hung on the wall, lighting up the dark corridor.
