Chapter 14: [ Charlie!! We Gotta x Go to Candy Mountain x Charlie!! ]
Soon the screening day was here...
"I apologize for keeping everyone here waiting. We will now begin selecting players." The man on stage announced. "As everyone already knows, you must be able to use Nen for this game. The test will proceed as follows. First, we need each applicant to demonstrate their ability or power..." He droned on and on and on until the man stopped talking and people rushed to get on line.
"Will you be alright, Sora?" Killua asked.
"Yeah...if I'm correct...I should be alright..." 'If I'm correct, the man screening us should be dumb enough to think my Cursed Technique is Hatsu...since it emits blue aura, he should think I'm an Transmuter or Specialist...either way...I should be ok...'
A man behind them suddenly chuckled. "Those guys are hopeless. They won't stand a chance."
"Huh?" All three of them turned around to face the orange-haired male.
"I'm talking about the ones still on line and those nearby waiting. Especially the ones hovering right next to the line. They're probably waiting for someone to come outside."
"There really is no rush...It's not like they're going to choose the first 32 players or anything...I think they're looking for someone with exceptional talent..." Sora pointed out.
"It makes sense!!" Killua nodded.
"Just a hunch." Sora shrugged.
"Exactly." The orange-haired male agreed. "It's been over 10 years and no one has cleared the game. New players can't begin if old players are still alive. Meaning that they have to save a few spots in case extraordinary players appear."
"I'd gamble they'll choose around 20 this round." The Gojo prompted. "Personally, I'd say that those on line or standing nearby won't even have a chance. Anyone worthwhile either got in line at once, or figured out the trick and stayed in their seats to focus, like we did."
"Wouldn't you agree, kid?" He asked Gon.
Gon focused his life energy into one fist seemingly preparing himself.
"Oh, Gon? You figured it out?" Killua said in awe.
"Well, it's just a hunch. I thought it was only natural that the hosts would want to test everyone here." Gon told him.
"That's right kid, you win." The man burst out laughing. "Man, I'm impressed. Not many people can stick to their ideals. The steeper and more dangerous the path, the greater the need for both wit and ignorance to move forward."
"Next, please." The guy on stage called out.
The orange-haired male jumped down in front of the staircase and looked back. "My name's Puhat. Nice to meet ya."
"People who act smart, usually fail." Killua pointed out.
"He can hear you." Gon sweatdropped.
Sora stood up, "well, I'm going."
"I'll be going ahead too." Killua nodded.
"Yep, good luck!!" Gon exclaimed.

Sora tapped her leg impatiently waiting for the others to come. She couldn't believe that she had developed actual platonic feelings for someone outside of the Jujutsu Metropolitan High school. The door suddenly creaked open and revealed Killua's head peeking in. His eyes scanned the room until it landed on the Gojo's figure and smiled. He walked up to where Sora was sitting and sat right next to her asking her a few questions on how the whole thing went with her technique. A few moments after sitting down next to Sora, a large 'boom' was heard, shaking the whole entire room. Seconds later, Gon poked his head in the room and ran up to Killua.
