Valeria and Aegon stood side by side in the empty training yard. The moonlight shined down below them, and the torches were lit to offer some better light for them.

It wasn't hard for Aegon to demand the Master of Arms to bring out a variety of weapons to the table then leave them be. Though the old man gave Valeria a dirty look that she amply ignored.

After their unusually vulnerable talk about expectations and wallowing in their pity, she knew there was only way either of them could get the steam out-training.

They stood at the weapons table, peering down at all the blades, daggers, spears, and such. All the works had been dug out for them to choose from.

Valeria glanced at her dear husband with a taunting smile. "Ladies first," she taunted, motioning him to pick.

Aegon shot her a glare momentarily, then he took a moment to consider the selection of weapons before him, pondering over which one to choose. After a moment, he decides on a long and slender sword, the steel blade glinting in the light. "I think this will do," he says, holding it up for her to see.

"A fine choice, a little boring, but fine no less," she told him.

"Boring, huh? Well, I guess I'll just have to show you how creative I can be with this boring choice." He grinned, twirling the sword in his hand as he walked back a few steps.

Valeria watched him do so, her eyes flitting down to his ass unconsciously. He had a nice ass, she thought, before quickly looking away. By the gods, Val, you are no better than a man.

She quickly shook her head and focused back to the weapons table.

In truth, she wasn't adept with many of these weapons. They were all pure steel and iron, too heavy for her scrawny arms. But that did not mean she couldn't defend herself.

She grabbed two daggers with curved edges and smiled as she weighed the steel in her hand. It was light but steel could still cut, no matter how thin.

"This will do," she decided, holding the blades in a funny way by holding it like shivs instead of daggers.

Aegon raised a brow at her as she walked many feet across from him. His eyes filled with amusement. "You hold those blades like a girl," He said tauntingly.

"I am a girl," Valeria said back, smirking.

They both were flirting, they knew it. Yet neither wanted to break the tension.

She certainly didn't want to cross that line.

Aegon regarded her with a quick, not so subtle, glance over her body then back to her eyes. This...sudden darkness in his eyes that made her spine chill in a strangely good way. "Two daggers, huh? That's daring. But I guess we'll just have to see if you can actually use them effectively."
