Cacophony looked at Huck and made a mean face. “Bravo. That certainly was something impressive. But you’re too late!  That last element is as good as mine!”

“Uh-oh!” Huck gasped.  Then he scowled.  “You better keep your grimy hands offa’ that crystal, or else!”

Cacophony smirked.  “Or else what?  You’re going to slobber all over me?  Hm?  Ohh, I’m soooo scared!”  He finished his sarcastic remark with a wicked laugh.

“Laugh if you want to, but you’re gonna be crying soon!” Snag growled as he lowered his face into an angry glare.  “You’re as good as defeated…conquered, even!”

“You mess with one of us, you mess with all of us!” Jack added.

Cacophony snorted.  “Your empty little threats cease to amuse me!  There’s nothing you can do to stop me!”  He turned to Discord, who was perched on the flying wooden spoon behind him like usual.  “Grab that crystal!” he snapped.

The bulldog leaned forward and made a grab for the glittery purple stone, which was floating in the air close by, but he missed.  He swiped at the air again and again, but couldn’t reach it.  Cacophony finally started to get fed up.

“You idiot!  I’ll just grab it myself if you can’t do anything useful!”

He stretched out his arm and grabbed at the crystal, but it zipped away from his reach before his fingers could do much as touch it.  Discord was also still trying to grab it, but in doing so, he was rocking and jostling the wooden spoon back and forth, causing Cacophony to start losing his balance.  The evil wizard turned and bopped the bulldog on the head…again.

“Stop it, you canine klutz!  You’re going to knock us off this thing!”

“Can’t I help it if you weigh it down so much, master?”

“Why you sniveling smart-mouthed…”

The crystal whizzed around the stage and over the heads of the audience, who were letting out collective gasps and murmurs.

“Quick!” Andrew cried.  “We can’t let Cacophony get his hands on that crystal!”

“Don’t worry, folks!” Huck cried, putting on a determined face.  “I won’t let him take it!”

Huck kept running to see if he could try to catch the crystal, while his friends tried to prevent Cacophony from getting it.  Soon, the crystal landed in Huck’s paws as it came drifting down toward him. “I got it!” he cried. “I got it!!”

But Cacophony was quick, and he snatched it from the hound dog. “Oh no you don’t!” he shouted.

Huck ran up to Cacophony, and quickly grabbed the crystal away from him. “Ha ha!” he chortled.  “Think again!”

Cacophony once again grabbed the crystal from Huck. “It’s mine!” he bellowed.

But Huck grabbed the crystal from Cacophony once again. “Nope! It’s mine!” he said, laughing.

Cacophony grabbed it away from Huck once more!  “YES!!! Yes!”

Huck made a grab again.  “Ohhhh, no!”

Huck’s friends were watching this nail-biting exchange from the stage, where they were still standing.

“Heavens to hold on a sec!” Snag piped up. “I have an idea!”

“An idea?” Jack asked.

“Let’s hear it!” Tempo added.

Snag rubbed his chin.  “We need to find some way to knock Cacophony off of his flying spoon…throw something at him, even!”
