Later that night, the festival was in full swing. Huck and his friends had already gone on the carousel three times before getting dizzy. Then they went on the ferris wheel and saw so many sights. There was even a big huckleberry cake made just for Huck! The hound had already eaten five slices of the cake before he was stuffed.

On stage, the performances lit up the night. Aria and her choir had performed four songs in a row, before Jack did a tap dance routine. Tempo and his cats performed a medley of songs on their drums, and Riff and Chops performed a rock number. Finally, Andrew and his troupe even let Huck join in a special song. And when it was over, the fireworks exploded in the sky, spreading beautiful colorful lights in the air!  It had been the greatest festival Huck and Snag had ever seen!

But sadly, as all good things must come to an end, so did the festival, and it was time for the hound and the mountain lion to say good-bye to all of their new friends.  As much as they loved the Land of Concerto and how musical and glorious it now was, they knew they couldn’t stay forever.

“Huck, Snag,” Viola sighed. “Are you sure you can’t stay?”

“We wish we could, but we really need to get going.” Snag replied sadly.

“Yeah.  We got friends back home in Hill Street Neighborhood that’ll be missin’ us,” Huck added.  “Besides, Snag and I got a show of our own to put on.”

Viola nodded.  “I understand.”

“Gee, we sure are gonna miss you guys,” Bugle sighed.

“We’ll miss you guys too,” Huck replied. “But don't worry.  We'll come back and visit y'all again someday."

“We promise,” Snag added.

“If you have a performance to give,” Adagio said, “then we would like you to keep at least two of the gifts you received during your adventure.”

Huck opened his backpack, and took out all of his gifts. “I’m definitely keepin’ the mic,” he beamed. “Singin’ is my specialty after all!”

“Wonderful!” Vivace said.  “What else would you like to take home with you?”

“Maybe the pitch pipe,” Huck replied. “I’ll need it for whenever I start singin’ off-key again!”

“Which is just about almost every time!” Snag chuckled, giving him a playful nudge.

Huck laughed. “Well, sorta.”

Giocoso and Cadenza both couldn’t help but laugh a little as Arpeggio handed the pitch pipe back to Huck.

“Would it be alright if I also kept the harmonica?” Snag asked.  “I must say, I’ve grown quite attached to it…fond, even.”

“You most certainly can,” Cadenza smiled.

Snag grinned.  “Oh joy!  I’ve another instrument at my disposal…if my guitar skills don’t quite match up, that is.”

Huck tapped his best friend on the shoulder.  “You know what?  I think this calls for a group photo!”

“Of course, let us capture the memories, just like always…forever, even!”

“Everyone gather around!” Huck called to his friends as they all gathered around the hound dog and the mountain lion, and faced the camera.

“Say ‘melody’”!” Huck cried.

“MELODY!!” everyone chorused. Then the camera snapped and the picture came out perfectly. Two copies of the photo came out of the camera: one for Huck and Snag, and the other for their friends.
