Y/N looks over their shoulder through the blur of their vision and the deafening ringing in their ears. There stands Leo. He has a gentle hand placed on their shoulder. He doesn't have a tight grip, nor does he try to shake them out of their dis-assortative state. Instead, he demonstrates how to take slow, deep breaths. Y/N began to mimic Leo, and it was actually helping. Their heart rate began to slow down as they breathed together. April and the others froze in place, watching as Leo continued.
"Good... Good... In and out, nice and easy..." Leo said softly.
Y/N's vision cleared, and finally, the ringing stopped as well. Leo retracted his hand from Y/N's shoulder once they had seemed to calm down enough. Finally, able to breathe and see properly Y/N sighs, they look up to Leo and sign
'Thank You'.
Leo gives them a smile and a nod. Y/N makes an attempt to stand up from the couch with shaking legs, as they do so both April and Raph extend their arms out for support. Y/N gave them both a weak smile as they helped Y/N steady their feet. Mikey had gotten a snack and drink from the parlor table. He gingerly offers it to Y/N. They gladly take a smaller portion of the snack from Mikey, as they do, they look around, and something is missing. Y/N begins to sign;
'Where is Donnie???'
Everyone looked around the parlor, and even the bodyguards and servants hadn't noticed he was gone. While the parlor wasn't particularly small, it didn't have many places to hide, yet still, he is nowhere to be seen.
"He was just here! I just saw him standing in the corner earlier!"
One of the maids proclaimed. Y/N looked in the direction she was pointing and noticed a spilled and shattered cup of coffee on the parlor rug. They looked around and noticed only one window was open due to the white curtains flowing in the gentle breeze.
"Oh no..." Y/N softly gasped.
Everyone froze in place and looked in their direction. Following their gaze, everyone's eyes paned over to the open window, all eyes going wide in realization.
"Donnie left to track down Derrick?!" April exclaimed.
Raph, Leo, and Mikey shared a glance at each other and nodded at the same time. Raph placed a hand on Aprils shoulder, "Keep them safe." He said sternly with a soft expression. April was confused at first but quickly understood. She nodded firmly as she placed her hand on his.
"You guys come back in one piece." She responded. Raph grins and nods back. With that, the three brothers take off out the window after Donnie.
Y/N crumbles to their knees. Their breathing pattern quickens once more. They just got their friends back, and now they are gone again, not only that but Derrick was loose. Why did this all have to happen to them? To the ones they cared about? Just as their mind was spiraling down into darkness, April tapped their shoulder. Y/N quickly snapped out of it and looked up and over at her, tears filling their eyes.
"It's gunna be alright, man... those guys are the toughest anyone has ever seen... trust me..." April gives Y/N a soft sincere smile as she placed one hand over her heart and extended out the other to help Y/N stand up. Y/N nodded with a small smile as they reached for April hand standing up. Y/N wiped the tears that threatened to fall down their cheeks, and with a sniffle, they turned and gave a stern expression to Bruce.
"Where would he go?" They ask grisly. Bruce raised a curious brown, intrigued that Y/N willing asked for his grandsons location so bravely. Bruce placed a hand on his chin and gingerly brushed his beard as he thought for a moment.
"He has many hideouts he thinks I don't know about. One is close by while another is actually out of state." Bruce replies casually. April chimes in, "Well, if he's on the run, he would definitely go to the out of state, right?" Y/N placed a hand on their own chin, shaking their head side to side slowly,
"No.... he's smarter than that.. and he would LOVE the satisfaction of being right under our nose...". Suddenly, and at the same time, Bruce and Y/N came to the same thought and blutered it out loud together. "I know where he is!"
They both look at each other, confused, thinking the other couldn't possibly know where Derrick went. They gave each other a look and with a nod both turned to April and simultaneously spoke.
"He Went To The Hidden City."
