Jonathan's POV

After we trained with Dad, Kenako and I went outside and looked at all the accomplishments Dad and the Ninja did. "Do you really think we'll be as good as Dad someday?" Ken asked as he traced the outline of the Tornado of Creation.

I nodded. "As long as we keep training."

"Well, well, what do we have here," a cold voice said.

We both whirled and stared. This guy had a snake wrapped around his shoulders and was smirking at us. I could just feel the evil coming off him in waves. I stepped protectively in front of my little brother. "Ken, go get Mom and Dad," I told him quietly.

"What?!? I can't leave you here!" Ken cried. "We aren't ready to face an enemy!"

I kept my eyes on the evil guy. "Ken, I'm your older brother. It's my job to protect even if I'm not ready. Your job is supposed to go get help."

"You're older than me by a year!" He moved so he was standing beside me. "I'm fighting with you!"

I sighed. Why did we both get Mom and Dad's stubbornness? I gave in with a small nod. "Who are you?" I said addressing the evil guy.

He frowned. "What? Your parents didn't tell you? I'm Adder, your Mom's ex-boyfriend? I'm here to destroy your family and take back that which is mine which happens to be your mom? Ring any bells?" We both shook our heads. He sighed. "You're supposed to be afraid of me."

I can say we were scared but our Dad is the Green Ninja. We can't run in the face of danger or we'll disappoint him. But let him think what he wants. "You're not that scary," Ken said before I could say anything. I glanced at him and saw he had come to the same conclusion I did.

Adder glared and flicked his fingers. A whole bunch of snakes came toward us. Ken was deathly afraid of snakes and he shrank away from them. I kicked one when it got too close. If only our elemental powers had awoken! Actually, Spinjutsu would work too but we still haven't gotten the hang of it! I tensed when I felt something bite me and looked down to see one had its jaw clamped on my ankle. A cry behind me told me Ken had been bitten too. Darkness began to form at the edge of my vision and I glared at Adder until it took me.

Y/n's POV

We were all in the kitchen when we heard the cry of pain and fear. Lloyd and my eyes met. We knew our son's cries by heart. We rushed out of the place and were just in time to see Adder getting away. "No!" I screamed. But we were too late and I collapsed to my knees and broke down crying.

Lloyd knelt beside me and hugged me tightly. "Shh, it will be okay," he said softly.

"How?" I sobbed. "He took them!"

"Y/n..."

"We'll never see our sons again! He's going to kill them."

"Y/n," Lloyd said sharply. "Look at me." I did. "We will get our sons back, okay? Adder will not kill them," he said firmly.

"H-how?" I sniffled.

Lloyd glanced at Nightmare and Nightmare disappeared. Then he turned back to me. "The other Ninja will be here soon. Then we'll all go after him."

"But we don't know where he is!"

Lloyd raised an eyebrow. "I'm sure you could speak to that tracking Squirrel. She could find them."

I couldn't help it. I laughed weakly. "Lloyd, you hate Sarah."

"I'd do anything to get our kids back."

I nodded and stood up. "Okay."

"Y/n, is there a chance that Adder might use Ken and Jon as hostages?" Harumi asked.

I thought about that. "Maybe. But I doubt it."

"Maybe he thinks they're young enough that he could change their minds," Nya suggested hopefully.

Lloyd snorted. "Then he'll have a tough time of it. Both our sons inherited Y/n's stubbornness."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "Excuse me? You're just as stubborn!"

Lloyd's mouth twitched. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Uh-huh. Sure."

Suddenly a portal opened and the Other Ninja came in. Other Lloyd went straight to me. "Y/n, are you okay?" He asked.

Crap, I still have tear tracks on my face. I scrubbed my eyes with my hands. "Adder just kidnapped Ken and Jon."

His gaze hardened. "Then we'll go get them back. Do you think Sarah will help us?"

I snorted. "Both you and my husband hate Sarah. But you both asked me that exact same question."

My Lloyd smiled a little. "What can we say? We think alike."

I rolled my eyes. "Uh-huh."

"And I will help you," said a small female voice.

I looked down to see Hydra standing beside Sarah. "I went to get her," Hydra said.

I knelt. "Thank you. Do you think you can find Jon and Ken?" I asked Sarah.

She tilted her nose in the air and inhaled deeply. "Yup, I can track them."

I scooped both her and Hydra up. "Then let's get our weapons and go."
