"Shit...it's already starting to take its toll." Maximum thought to himself. "But I have no other choice in this moment".

Maximum kept up with the remarkable speed of the Fiend, even when one of her wings gone. Going so far as to deliberately take hits from her so that he could trade blows. His stamina was drastically getting weaker the longer he kept fighting.

Mercy saw Lee run past her, both of them looking at each other for a brief moment before he passed.

"There you go Lee. that battle rage. "She smiled looking up at the sky with blurry vision.

Keeping his eye closed during the whole fight, Maximum finally opened it and a bright flash stunned both the Fiend and Maximum himself. He recovered quickly and used his remaining energy to plunge his sword into her heart, the black hue showing through to the other side of her body.

"HA, haha...hahahaha!" Maximum manically laughed. He cupped his hands again and the hue disappeared from his body as well as his green eye then fell to the ground.

"That damn Royal better be up." Maximum blinked and the Fiend fell head first to the ground and she started to crawl towards him, he blinked another time and seen both of her mantis blades were in air.

"The nail in the coffin, HellHelm brat".

Maximum's eyes closed and he accepted his fate smiling and heard something cut through the air. He then heard footsteps shuffle on the stone and stop in front of him.

He opened his eyes and seen Lee with his arms in front of him blocking the mantis blades. Lee pushed her blades off and with her with a punch that launched Maximum's sword through her body. He punched her again with his other hand in her head and she fell to the stone.

"RULE BREAKERS!" he screamed pushing her head further into the stone still.

Maximum fell unconscious and seconds later Lee stopped attacking. He stared at the Fiend who's body was twitching and most of its head was blood and pieces. He remembered seeing Mercy and turned to her as he ran.

She was resting on iron ore and smiling.

"CAPTAIN! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!" Lee cried out as he held her. She opened her eyes and began to talk to him.

"I'm sorry that I can't see your wind any longer Lee. As long as you and Maximum are okay, I've done my Captain duties. You two even took out a high level Fiend that even I couldn't...let the village know of your feat."

Lee said nothing and held her tighter, making a door for them to start crying. he wiped away every single tear that left Mercy's eyes.

"...I'm sorry I couldn't get to see you and your cousin become great Warriors...to see your dream come true...to get stronger together as a couple." She spoke in a more emotional tone.

Lee couldn't hold it in any longer and completely let his cries out. Mercy gave one last smile to him and told him things about his power and the truth she knew of Fiends, then silently drifted away into the afterlife closing her eyes. Her body went limp, and Lee cried over her for several minutes before laying her down gently and running to check on Maximum. He was still breathing but Lee had no luck in waking him up. Lee put both of Mercy's arms into his bag and carried her Spear on his back. He walked over to her and picked her up and held her on his shoulder, then put Maximum on the other shoulder.

Lee walked an hour and a half back to his village and told Lord Regina and their parents the bad news.

Mercy's father Christopher understood the situation due to her being a Captain and was fully aware of what he signed up for, her mother however cursed Lee for not protecting her only child.

Maximum parents Matthew and Indigo Vile both thanked Lee for bringing their son back and not giving up. They stood with him during discouraging times.

Mercy FLowerpatch was pronounced deceased, Maximum Vile was deemed unfit to pursue becoming a Warrior further, and Lee Nova trained to eventually become a Captain of his own team.
