"ANGEL, SIT DOWN or I'm ripping these extensions right out of your skull" I told Angel as I was trying to do her hair for the day. She was worse than a toddler in a zoo. Always on the move.

"LoLo, chill girl! She ain't going anywhere!" Poa laughed from her spot on the couch.

"Yeah Logan, chill out girl! What you gettin' so stressed over?" Angel asked while I worked on her braids.

"I'm just stressed for this year. I've been contacting Iowa about basketball for months now! And I have yet to get anything! I just hope I didn't look like a fuck up," I sighed.

"You're adorable Logan, but you worry to much. Just be patient! Everyone fucks up every now and then," Poa stated. I rolled my eyes and continued doing Angels hair.

"Yeah, don't worry! Easy! Do you hear the words coming out of your mouth?" I spoke.

Basketball is my life. I've been playing ever since I could walk. Growing up I was surrounded by the game and grew to love it. With the help of my mom and dad, I became the player I am today, number 13, Logan Mulkey! Daughter of Kim and Scott Mulkey, the graceful guard who stands a wopping 5'5 feet above the ground.

"Hello y'all! I brought goodies!" I hear Bri yell from the front of our shared apartment.

Brielle Lynn Crawford has been my best friend since I was six. That girl can light up any room with her attitude or even just her smile. But she can be scarier than shit if she gets upset.

"Hey Bri, what did you get?" I asked finishing one of Angels braids. My fingers were starting to ache from the braiding.

"Just some sugar!" She giggled. Then my phone ran.

Lisa Bluder Calling...

"Oh shit," I whisper, letting go of Angels hair. This could be the moment I've been waiting for! Iowa has always been my dream school but I was to scared to leave my family here in Louisiana, so I stayed.

"Logan? You good? Answer your phone, it's been ringing for a hot minute!" Bri laughs as she takes over braiding Angels hair.

"Um yeah, sorry, just got lost in thought," I said as I answered the phone. Bri gave me a 'I know, now get stuff done' look and I ran to my bedroom, closing the door in the process.

"Hello?" I spoke into the phone.

"Hi Logan, I'm coach Bluder from Iowa, we've talked a few times!" Coach Bluder spoke excitedly. Holy shit.
