*Evaasyo pov*
When I told Raina I wasn't gonna skip class, that was a lie. Normally I go to my classes and stuff but today I just couldn't. What was Raina thinking? Taking up another assignment? I don't think I could handle her getting hurt again. I told her I thought I was ready but I'm not. As I walked to our apartment I noticed some kids staring at me. I get stared at a lot but unlike Pinky I don't mind. When you look how I look you get used to the stares, long light blue locs, dark skin, a large scar on my face, edgy fashion style; I'm pretty much asking for attention. I kick a soda can that's on the road I'm walking on, it hits some lady. "HEY GET BACK HERE" she screams while shaking her fist at me. I run away and about 15 minutes later I'm at the apartment. Damm, since when did we let this place get so nasty? I'm mostly talking about my room but still. I take my shoes off and change into some inside clothes. I might as well clean up so Raina can only be half mad at me. I start cleaning and my mind wanders to the idea of an assignment. Would it be so bad to go on one? Our last one went wrong yeah, but we should try again right? If I wanna be a death weapon I need 99 kishin soul eggs and a witch soul. I'll have to go on assignments eventually. I'm just scared that something could happen to Raina again. Raina is such a good mister, she's strong, cool, capable, and very pretty. Though that doesn't really have anything to do with being a mister it's still true. I've always thought Raina was pretty. I still do but now I see her as more than a pretty face. She's so relatable and funny and so strong- did I mention she's strong? She's shy, yeah but when she gets to know people she's so sweet. As I finish cleaning my room I start to work on the kitchen. 2 more hours and school would be over so I should hurry. I cleaned and cleaned you know. I used to HATE cleaning because that's what my mom would make me do as a punishment when I was younger. "Almost done, soon I'll start dinner for Raina" I talk to myself, talking to myself is something I used to do a lot before Raina. "EVAASYO WHAT ARE YOU DOING HOME?!" "RAINA YOU WERNT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE FOR ANOTHER 2 HOURS!" "ITS 5:30 YOU DUMMY!" "SHIT WELL I-UHHH-I CLEANED THE APARTMENT!" "LETS STOP YELLING" "OK PINKY" she takes off her shoes and sets her bag down. I know I shouldn't have skipped classes but I was just out of it. "So Evaasyo, why weren't you at noon classes.?" "I don't know." "Yes you do because if you didn't know why you wouldn't have skipped." "I-Im scared of you getting hurt again and when you brought up taking an assignment I got scared and I ran away." Shit I'm gonna cry I can feel it. "Oh Evaasyo come here" she opened her arms, signaling for a hug. I went to her arms and she held me. I love how warm Raina is. "Evaasyo it's not your fault I got hurt." I start crying in her arms. I hate crying in front of people, especially Raina. "It IS my fault! IM your weapon IM supposed to keep you safe but I failed." She squeezes me tightly and rubs my back. "Evaasyo it'll be ok I'm safe. You did great Aasyo I'm safe I'm here." I stop crying and she runs her hands through my locs and rubs my scalp a bit. It feels good. "You hungry?" "Yeah I am." "Can we go get something to eat?" "Of course we can Aasyo" she squeezes me one more time and we let go of each other. "Can we go to that one Mexican restaurant on Amina rd?" I ask, that place has really good tostadas. "Yeah we can I'll pay ok? Let me go get my wallet and we can go eat ok?" I nod my head and sit on the couch and wait for her. How did I get so lucky with my mister? "Alright I'm ready to go." We walk out of our apartment and head to the restaurant. We're chatting and she says "You got a lot of extra work to do Evaasyo" "I do?" "Yeah you do a 3 page essay about how missing school can set weapons and there misters back, make sure to say thank you to professor Stine." She's joking, I was crying in her arms not even 20 minutes ago and she's making jokes. She's so amazing. "Ugh I really don't wanna do that" " I know but professor Stine said he'd dissect you if you didn't." We're at the restaurant now and we walk in "Hi can we get a table for 2 please?" I ask the lady at the greeting counter. Raina might be bold in front of me but she's still very shy in public. "Yes of course follow me please." We follow the lady to a table near a window and we sit down. " I'm Mina and here are your menus and I'll be right back in a bit to get you guys some drinks and take your orders." "Alright thank you." We look at the menus and I already know I'm getting a nice fat tostada. "Do you know what you're getting Raina?" She nods her head,"Yeah I'm gonna get mole with a Dr Pepper." We order our food and eat when we get home it's about 9:34. "I am stuffed thank you for dinner Raina." I tell her when we start taking off our shoes. "No worries I am the mister after all it's my job to take the lead with stuff like this ya know?" Yeah I do know. "Evaasyo, can we cuddle?" I guess she can see how my face lit up because she giggled and headed to her room. And of course, I followed her. We go lay down and get under the covers and our limbs tangle together. "Hey Raina?" "Yeah Aasyo?" "I think I'm ready to take on an assignment." "Alright, tomorrow we'll go pick one out ok?" "Ok."
