Far From Home//Hogwarts

Chapter 6

Effie sat in the boys room as she watched the snow fall, Silas was tuning his guitar, Jackson was reading, and Nicolas was messing with spells on his wand.

"Is anyone going home for Christmas?" Effie asked, turning away from the window sill

"You think I'll go back to the boys home?" Silas chuckled "Fuck no, I'm staying here"

"I'm going home" Jackson replied, still looking at his book "Mum won't let me stay, and I need to watch Blaise"

"Nick?" Silas asked the boy next to him

"Yeah I'm going home, dad will be working and mum's too lazy to look after Draco" Nicolas replied, twirling his wand through his fingers "What about you, Eff?"

"I'm staying here with Harry, can't be fucked dealing with the Dursley's around Christmas" Effie said, making herself comfortable on Silas' bed

"That's fair" Jackson nodded

"Do you guys wanna go for a walk?" Nicolas suggested

"Nothing else to do" Silas said as he put his guitar back on its stand

"Okay" Jackson nodded, closing his book and putting it neatly on his bedside table "You coming, Effie?"

"Yeah" Effie nodded, standing up and putting her heavy jacket on

The boys opened the door and let Effie go through first, they all walked down the stairs and out of the common room.

They passed a group of 5th year Hufflepuff boys and they started to laugh to each other and give Silas and Effie looks

"The fuck?" Silas mumbled to Effie who only shrugged

"The fuck you looking at?" Silas called out to the group

"Fuck" Jackson whispered to himself, knowing this was about to turn into a shit show

"Silas, don't" Nicolas quickly grabbed Silas' shoulder

"Nothing" a girl in the group giggled "We were just talking about how it's weird that Effie is friends with the son of the man that murdered her parents, that's all"

Effie let out a sarcastic laugh "Seriously? You waste your energy wondering about things like that? Fuck me, get a life"

"Oh, shit" Jackson mumbled, walking over to the nearest seat and sat down, watching the scene un fold

"Don't talk to my girlfriend like that" One of the boys said, Diego Caplan

"Or what?" Silas said, walking over to Diego

Everyone in Hogwarts knew not to fuck with Silas, he was full of anger and was prepared to let it out on anyone who pissed him off

"Don't test me, Black" Diego spat with a grin

"Silas" Effie called out "Just leave it, they're not worth wasting energy on"

"Excuse me?" Another boy scoffed

Effie rolled her eyes at the boy and crossed her arms, Nicolas watched carefully as Silas glared at Diego, knowing he could snap at any second

"Piss off, Effie. Go cry to your dead parents" Diego laughed before Silas' fist connected with his jaw

Effie jumped at sudden sound and Nicolas laughed, while Jackson only rolled his eyes

A loud crack was heard throughout the whole corridor, Diego fell to the floor and cried out in pain, Silas stepped over the boys body and began to repeatedly punch the boy in the face

One of Diego's friends, Teddy Taylor tried to jump in but Nicolas pulled him back by his collar and punched him in the nose, leaving a heavy trail blood as the boy ran back to his friends.
