It had been a couple of days since Mogchoji had moved in. Chan surrendered his room to her for the time being so the boys could put the final touches in her new room. She had been kept away as they wanted it to be a surprise, however they made sure to tease her about it every chance they got.

After finishing the last chore for the day, she decided to relax before the boys surfaced again. She had her earbuds in listening to "her boys" as she now called them. She retrieved her journal from her bag and went back to the living room to the large L shaped couch. She curled up in the corner facing away from the room's entrance and opened her book and her hand went to work. She had covered most of the page with a beautiful drawing of an old bridge that stretched across a river. She was so lost in adding the greenery that she didn't realize Hyunjin had been standing behind her. He had been tasked with bringing Mogchoji to her new room but he found himself lost in her artwork. Every pencil stroke landed perfectly in place, bringing the breathtaking scenery to life. He watched for a moment until she noticed his shadow move across the page. She slung her head back and gasped causing him to jump as well. "Oh shit, you scared me!" She giggled when she realized who it was.

"I'm sorry Jiji" He replied as he too started giggling. "Are you ready to see your room?" He asked with an excited grin.

Her eyes gleamed with excitement as she jumped up squealing. "Yes! Let's go!" He took her hand and led her to up the stairs and to the far end of the long hallway. The boys could be heard giggling from a small distance which made her smile even more. He led her through a set of French doors which revealed a small foyer where her boys were waiting anxiously.

A warm feeling rush over her and her cheeks blushed when he spoke. "Are you ready, babygirl?" Chan smiled as he reached for her hand. The boys stood ready to open the next set of French doors to her room. She took his hand and squealed. "Eeee! Let's go!" They all melted over her excitement as they doors opened. Chan placed his hand on the small of her back and led her in. Her eyes grew wide as she looked around.

The walls were painted light grey, the floors a darker grey wood grain finish. A soft tone pink furry rug blanketed the center of the room under her king size bed. A matching canopy hung from the ceiling over the headboard draping over either side. The overstuffed white duvet was complimented by pillows and a throw in the same shade of pink. She delicately ran her hand over the bed. The softness under her fingertips made her gasp. She stepped into the bathroom and threw her hand over her mouth in shock. It reminded her of a spa retreat. A large mirror with a brass frame covered the entire wall above the beautiful marble sink with attached vanity. A spa sized jetted tub was located at the end of the room nestled inside a large bay window. Candles and flowers sat in the corners and lined the edge. To the left, a walk in shower that was as large as her entire bathroom in her previous apartment. She made her way back to the main room and noticed another set of doors. She opened to reveal a more than average sized walk in closet. Fully shocked with the most beautiful clothes and accessories she had ever seen. She took a few steps back and just shook her head in disbelief. Tears began flowing. "This room is fit for a..."

"Princess." Changbin interrupted to finish her sentence. She looked around to see them all watching her with the most joyful expressions.

"How did you all do this? This is just so perfect in every way." She expressed, still looking around in disbelief.

"Hyunjin designed it but he put us all to work bringing it together." Chan spoke up. "We all picked out the clothes and accessories." He continued.

"This is the best birthday I've ever had." She whispered softly to herself.

Felix, who was standing directly behind her overheard what she said. "It's your birthday, Noona!?" He shouted. She sheepishly buried her head and nodded.

"Why didn't you say something sooner, Jiji!" Hyunjin questioned with excitement.

"I haven't celebrated my birthday in so long, I just didn't think about it." She replied with a slightly saddened tone.

"Well Kitten, that's changing starting today!" He exclaimed as he brought her in for a hug. "Happy birthday."

The room erupted with "happy birthdays" as they all came in for their own hugs. At that moment she felt something that had been nonexistent for years. Hope.

They sat at around at the table after finishing the birthday feast they had prepared for her. Felix stood and excused himself to the kitchen. Conversations and laughter were suddenly interrupted when Felix returned with a beautiful cake he had made while she was soaking in her new bathtub. She fixed her gaze on the flickering candles strategically placed on top of the cake. As the boys sang the Birthday Song, her eyes swelled with tears. "What did I do to deserve this?" She thought to herself just before Jisung shouted "make a wish!" She smiled and closed her eyes for a moment for opening them again. She took a deep breath and blew. The smoke streamed up in front of her as the flames died.

"What did you wish for Noona?" Seungmin questioned.

"Yaaaa! If she tells us, it may not come true!" Changbin argued.

"Ah come on, you know that's just a silly superstition. Tell us Noona!" Jisung added.

She rolled her eyes and shook her head with a playful sigh. "I haven't experienced true happiness in years. I wished for this feeling to never leave me."

The room fell silent at the statement and they all smiled back at her. Chan took her cheek in his hand and used his thumb to wipe a tear that had escaped from the corner of her eye. "For as long as you allow it, I will make sure it never leaves you again."

His touch sent a spark through her veins and when he spoke those words, her heart fluttered in a way she had never felt before. She was slightly startled by the way the feeling rushed over her. She looked into his eyes and she felt as if she could see directly into his soul. His gaze assuring her that he meant what he said.

It was getting late. The movie had ended and most of the boys had fallen asleep already. Hyunjin's head was slumped over on Changbin's shoulder. Felix was laying with his head in Hyunjin's lap. The 2 maknaes were passed out in the floor on their stomachs. Minho had just stood up to carry his sleeping beauty off the bed. Chan had dozed off next to Mogchoji. She stood up and started gathering blankets to cover the sleeping boys remaining in the living room. Her movements caused Chan to wake up but he kept quiet with eyes closed as he heard her shuffle back and forth. He peeked through squinted eyes every few seconds to watch her. Her actions causing him to melt. In his eyes, no one could ever care for his "kids" like he would. No one could love them like he did. But as he saw her gently kiss each one on the forehead and whisper "sweet dreams" in their ears, he found himself believing he could have been wrong. He quickly pressed his eyes closed when he saw her make her way back to him. She draped a blanket across him as she did with the others and leaned down to kiss his forehead. A spark jolted through him as her lips made contact. What she whispered in his ear was different than what she said to the others and left him shattered. "Please mean what you said. Anymore pain will end me. Sweet dreams."
