Chan and Minho leapt out of their car and ran to the cafe illuminated by flashing red and blue lights. There was an ambulance backed up to the alley entrance facing toward them. They cleared the ambulance and their hearts sank when they saw the bloody scene at the other end. Chan turned to see a stretcher being loaded into the back of the ambulance.
"No! No! No! please God noooo!!" He cried as he saw the body bag strapped to the it. "Tell me it's not her. Please tell me it's not her!"Suddenly the officer they had met with weeks prior walked up to them. "It's not her." He said causing the boys to throw their heads back to look at him. "She's in bad shape but she's alive. She's one hell of a fighter."

Beep... beep... beep...
The sounds of hospital machinery echoed through her ears waking her from the deep sleep she had been in for nearly 2 days. She began stirring, causing her to wince in pain. The boys, who were all piled in the room immediately looked to her anxiously but didn't move, not knowing her mental state."Babygirl?" Chan whispered as he slowly lifted from the chair he had planted right next to her bed. She slowly opened her eyes and a tired smile swept across her face.
A tear dropped from Chan's eye and he beamed back at her. "There's my beautiful babygirl." Mogchoji opened her mouth the speak, but the dryness and pain in her throat stopped her. "Shhhh. Don't speak." He said as he gently brushed the back of his fingers across her bruised cheek. Suddenly, realization struck her and her eyes grew wide."Hey, You did it Kitten." Minho spoke up, knowing what she was thinking.
Changbin stepped up and added with a smirk. "Yea, you sent his ass away in a bodybag, princess."
Mogchoji tightened her eyes in relief and tears began to fall.
"We're proud of you Jiji." Hyunjin added as he and the rest of the boys slowly walked to her bedside.
***2 days later***
Chan had just helped Mogchoji bathe and he rewrapped her bandages before he gently led her back to the bedroom to dress. As he went to get her clothes, she stepped in front of the full length mirror in the corner of her room and dropped her towel. She gasped when she saw herself completely for the first time. Tears of disbelief filled her eyes as she panned over her badly bruised and swollen body. A brace wrapped around her cracked ribs and a sling held her broken arm in place. There didn't seem to be a single inch of skin that wasn't discolored. She raised her hand to the finger shaped bruises on her neck and closed her eyes forcing a tear to roll down her cheek.
"You're beautiful babygirl. More beautiful than the day I met you." Chan assured as he walked up behind her and gently wrapped his arms around her waist. She peeked her eyes up at his reflection and smiled. "I love seeing that gorgeous smile on your face." He replied as he carefully turned her to face him. He lightly kissed her swollen lip before sliding the hoodie she stole from him over her head. He helped her put her left arm through the sleeve and pulled the hoodie down leaving her broken arm underneath. She hissed at the pain. "I'm sorry babygirl. Almost done." He whispered as he helped her sit on the loveseat next to her. He knelt in front of her and eased her legs into a pair of his sweatpants. He then helped her back to standing position to pull the pants the rest of the way up.
"Do you want to sit here or go to the bed?"
"Here." She said in a low and raspy voice. He smiled at her and helped her back into seated position. "Can you bring the kids in here please. I miss them." She asked slowly. "Of course, yea. Minho and Changbin have been fighting them back since we got home anyway." He said with a chuckle as he walked out of the room."Jjiiiiiijjjiiiiiiiii!!!!" Mogchoji heard coming from down the hall just before the door swung open. Her eyes lit up when Hyunjin and the others flew in. Felix was the last to enter carrying a birthday cake with lit candles. Mogchoji's eyes lit up even more when they all began to sing to her. She had forgotten her birthday again, but her boys hadn't. She blew out the candles and smiled with tears in her eyes.
As the night progressed, the laugher and chaos filled her heart. Chan sat with his back against the arm of the loveseat with Mogchoji cradled sideways in his lap, softly tracing random patterns across her hand. Jisung sat in front of her on the floor, painting her toenails while singing a song he had just recorded. The 3 maknaes were draped across different parts of her bed playing a game together on their phones yelling at each other. Minho was chasing Hyunjin with a wad a tissue in his hand for making a sarcastic remark. "It's been a while since you ate tissue Hyunjinnah!" He growled, making Mogchoji chuckle and shake her head.
"Aaayyyeeeee! Be still princess!" Changbin shouted from behind her as he brushed her hair into ponytail.
"You keep yelling at me and I'll leave 'Changbin Salon' a negative review." Mogchoji teased leaving a downward smirk on his face."Babygirl can I ask you a question if you don't mind?"
"Mmhmmmm" Mogchoji hummed.
"Why did you do it? What did you go after him?"The room went silent as everyone awaited her answer.
"Because he wasn't gonna stop and I was tired of running." She replied quietly. "I finally found peace and happiness and I wasn't going to allow him to take it back from me. I had something to fight for, so I built up the courage and confidence and fought."She looked around the room at all the faces staring back at her with love.
"You all made that possible."
