Song : King And Lionheart - Of Monsters And Men
--
"I can't stop thinking about how men are such sexist pigs, you know?""Janet please, get those feminist thoughts out of your brain, I'm trying to drink".
"Only someone like you would say that" Janet gets up dusting off her burgundy dress and pushing her chair in the table.
"Heading off?"
"Yes, goodbye womanizer" she winks.
Janet always got on my nerves. I watched as she walked out the cafe leaving everyone suspicious as to if this was a break-up or a death threat. I shrugged my shoulders, gave the waiter a tip, and headed down to the building.
Once through the doors, I was heavily greeted by all the lobby operators, custodians, and everyone else that so happened to be in that particular area.
I reach for the elevator as the doors opened and a blonde couple had stepped out.
The man groans as his hand slides from her skirt to her wrists.
I shake my head.
I pushed the button up for the forth floor as I risen up. I adjusted my suit and tie making my appearance look a little more 'professionally done' and stepped out the elevator. There, standing in the hallway was of course, Saddie dressed in a gray pantsuit outfit that was skin tight.
"Good morning, Mr. Slater. I have been asked to assign you somewhere else in the department this morning. It was a request from Mr.Saunders" Saddie smiled bringing her hands to the lining of her breasts to try to turn me on.
I nod. "Which department? Why am I being transferred so early in the month?"
"Now now Derek,"
Saddie comes closer to me, breathing in my cheap cologne."Mr.Saunders has insisted you try different parts of the business. He wants you to get a more comfortable feel of doing more than just editing his writings. I've been asked to put you in our 'Manga' department. We have a feeling you'll do just great in that field"
"Manga? What the hell is Manga?" I'm concerned. Never have I ever edited a field heard of that.
"Manga is Japanese picture books. Like a cartoon but more- cartoonish" Saddie says flipping her curly auburn dreads to the left side of her head.
"Cartoons? He wants me to edit cartoons?"
"If you're not satisfied Mr.Slater I can try to m-
"No, I think I will be just fine. Lead me the way" I groan. I might as well do the work than make a big deal about it.
I follow Saddie down the hall as she leads me into a room stacked with nothing but pink books everywhere. Everyone in there was passed out on desks with saliva dripping from the sides of their mouths.
Saddie sighs. "It's not always like this, hold on a second"
She grabs a ruler stick from behind the door and whacks it hard on one of the desks. Everyone jumps and groans came from every direction possible.
"Manga crew, I'd like you to meet Derek Slater, one of Zayne Saunders editors"
All of the crew grinned and started talking among each other. Saddie smacked the ruler again to get their attention.
