I, Derek Slater for one thing, am not a nerd.
I love to read and write it was my uppermost passion to do so. Everyday constantly, I had to write about something even if it was about a bug or a boy.
I am always shy and had a hard time talking to a lot of other people or teachers. The back of the classroom was always my first aim to be at.
I didn't have any friends. No one said 'Hello' or 'See you tomorrow' to me. My Father was usually the only friend I had. He was pretty much the only friend I needed.
My father was well known for his writings and drawings. He was a hell of a drawer. He could draw anything and I mean anything. He was always there for me when I didn't have anyone but, so was my Mother she wasn't around that much.
My mother on the other hand, was a pistol. She'd run around all day. She sometimes wouldn't come home until a week later. It ticked my father off and they finally agreed that enough was enough and they divorced and to be honest, I wasn't very emotional about it. I hated my mom being out all the time too. I always felt like I didn't have a mother. I sometimes would just cry because I could never recieve any 'Motherly advice'.
I walk through Mr.Walker's english classroom door. I take advanced English with all of the juniors since I've skipped 9th and 10th grade.
"Good morning everyone" he exclaims.
"Morning." Everyone groans.
"Well to-" Mrs.Evans the secretary walks through the door whispering into his ear. I watch door as I seen a body standing from outside the door. It looked like a man or maybe it was a new student.
"Well, this is suprising. Uhm, Class, it seems we have a new being in our class this morning. Takano Mira. Takano?"
I watched the tall boy with his head hung low walk to Mr.Walker. he never looked up and he never said a word.
"Well Takano, you can choose a seat and that's where you'll stay for the rest of the year"
There was about 4 seats around me that weren't occupied. I was always alone and he more likely will sit over by Jacob Colt and his buddies. They always fed on the newbies.
He had dark black hair that covered his blue eyes. He was about 5'10 skinny and pale. I watched him stroll down Jacob's aisle and take the seat right behind him. I watched him smirk at me then continued whispering to Jacob. He probably thought I was disgusting ( which most people think I am).
The bell rung and it was time for advisor. I grabbed all my books and headed towards the library. I go there everyday to finish reading continuous books series and or to finish my studies and homework on all my classes so I again, go to the library after school.
I checked into the library and sat down on the farthest table away from all the doors so I could watch who came in and who went out. I wanted to make sure no one was going to play a practical joke on me and splash eggs on top of my head like Zack Prost did last time. I had to leave school early because I was so embarrassed. The boy from class earlier walked through the doors with his head held high. He looked kinda nice that way. I watched him chat with Mrs.Arthur then headed over to the Manga section. I've never read manga before but I plan on maybe doing a little editing for it in the future.
