Hi there, forgot to post chapters of this story here on Wattpad. I am a more dedicated writer on Inkitt (named Michen there too) since they don't delete any of my stories. I currently have 15 chapters of this story posted there, which you are more than welcome to visit and read, but the chapters will eventually be posted here as well. Just a little FYI :) Take care!

---------------------------

Kevin ended up spending the day with his parents. They'd wanted to know what had happened between Kevin and Michael as soon as the older man had left the apartment, but Kevin had begged them to wait a while, so he himself could let it all sink in. Ever the most understanding of folks, they did as asked. Since they didn't visit The Big apple so often, they decided to make a day of it.

They first visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art, seeing how interested Aurora was with the artists of impressionism. The moment they stepped into the museum hallway, Aurora's curiosity gravitated towards the vibrant strokes of the Impressionist and Post-impressionist masters adorning the walls. She was immediately mesmerized by the vivid hues and intricate brushwork, her appreciation shining clear as she immersed herself in the beauty and narrative created by the artists' hands. Kevin was happy for her but it also gave him some time to let the previous evening, come morning, sink in.

He truly hoped yesterday's event meant a step forward for him and Michael. Surely the man couldn't have any objections now? After all, he was the one who had snuck over to Kevin's bed and kissed him. He was the one that had instigated their shared, wonderful moment. It must have meant as much for him as it had for Kevin, right?

These were the thoughts occupying his mind most throughout their visit at the Met. When Aurora was satisfied enough, they went on to some shopping on Fifth Avenue, Kevin's parents spoiling him with new clothes.

"These are more than enough," Kevin complained, referring to the bags in his hands as his mother dragged him into the fourth store.

"Pish-posh! You've got to look smart in your classes," Aurora insisted. "Oh look, isn't that jacket just lovely?"

Kevin rolled his eyes but followed his mother who immediately sought assistance from an impeccably dressed employee. After another visit to the dressing room, Kevin managed to convince his mother that it was enough. Eventually, they decided it was time for lunch, and Kevin was absolutely ravenous. They went in to a little, cheek-looking restaurant and were quickly seated.

"Okay, let me have it," Kevin said after they'd ordered their food.

Aurora immediately leaned over the table, getting closer to her son. "Has this been going on for long?"

"Yes and no."

"What do you mean by that?"

"We kind of... connected in my late teenage years, and then we kind of reconnected a couple of weeks back," Kevin confessed. He wasn't ready to tell his parents the full story, only the necessities. Henry and Aurora shared a look. "What?"

"Oh, nothing." Aurora waved it off. "Do you have feelings for him?"

Kevin sucked in his cheeks, wanting to be honest but also careful of how much he was ready to reveal. He eventually opted for the truth. "I do, yes."

"And how about his feelings?"

Kevin's mother was trespassing on complex questions now. "I'm pretty sure he does, I'm just not sure how that makes him feel."

Aurora looked quizzical, and Kevin heaved a deep sigh. "I was hoping to have a talk with him this morning, but we were kind of interrupted," he explained with a pointed stare.
