Chapter 5

A few days later

"*growl~* ooh~"

Usopp was slumped down on the ground. That was the state of most of the crew. They ran out of food and are starving. They couldn't fish the days before because they were caught in a storm. Today, it was just way too hot

"Um Miya?" Chopper called out to Miya who was on the top deck, slumped on the railing

"Yeah?"

"Is Luffy okay? He's looking at me weird"

"Huh?" She tiredly turned her head to Luffy "Drooling, hunger starved gaze- yep, he's gonna eat you"

"Wha-" Before Chopper could finish his sentence Luffy had half of his head in his mouth. Chopper's eyes widened "Ahh DON'T EAT ME"

"Luffy stop, you shouldn't eat raw meat"

"THAT'S NOT THE PROBLEM MIYA- STOP!!"

Luffy kept the hold as Chopper struggled and panicked. The hatch to the deck opened showing Nami. She ran with her climatact and pushed Luffy off, until she ultimately slumped on the ground. Her stomach growled

"So hungry~"

Zoro was training in the crowsnest, away from all the commotion. He wasn't going to lie, the hunger was getting him too but he needs to do something. He was feeling restless and he needed to sort himself. There were a lot of thoughts spiralling in his head. Most of them were angry that's for sure, there was also worry lingering in those angry thoughts. He's gonna give the cook a piece of his mind when he sees him

But what was the motive of his leave? Yeah they told him about the wedding but the cook could have just refused or fight them off or wait for the rest of them to return. Why did he choose to leave? To leave the crew? To leave him?. And all they got was a lousy bye. What the hell. What is going on in the cook's head? Why?

Zoro placed the weights down. He already lost count. He needed answers and the cook was going to give it to him when they meet. Fuck waiting. He's way too pissed to wait for the cook to open up on his own

What he was pissed about he wasn't sure. The lying? The leaving? The wedding?

He gritted his teeth. The wedding seemed to have more of an effect. The cook getting married to a random girl, like hell he was going to let that happen. He let out a breath

"Damn it Cook"

'I'm gonna get you back then I'm gonna kick your ass'

"Whoa"

The ship suddenly tilted slightly to the side causing Zoro to lose his balance. Zoro could hear the shouts of the crew. He ran towards the window, swords in hand in case it was an attack, and looked down at them

"Hey what's going on?"

Miya craned her neck up to meet Zoro's gaze

"Luffy got a bite and it's a big one"

"Wooo come on Luffy"

"Luffy-san!"

Zoro grabbed a towel before climbing down. He couldn't lie anymore,  he was starving and the anger only fueled his hunger

"Luffy come on!"

Luffy, who had the appearance equivalent to that of an old man, was using his remaining strength to reel it in. He finally got it above sea before it went back under and this time it was pulling him. Luffy felt his body being tugged by the fish
