She Loved Too Much

Chapter 3

I texted and called her, but she didn't reply or answer my calls. 

While I was at work, she was on my mind. I couldn't feel at ease 

Paano kung galit siya?

So, during my lunch break, I went straight to BGC. I looked at the big building in front of me, not knowing where her condo was located. I called her several times, but she didn't answer. I sighed and walked away. It was already past noon, and I was hungry. I decided to go inside a restaurant. Hindi kalayuan sa building na tinitirhan ni Lily. 

As soon as I entered, my eyes caught sight of Lily. She was laughing while talking to Miguel. 

My jaw clenched when Miguel tried to take Tacobell from Lily's lap. Buti nalang at ayaw sa ibang tao ang pusa kaya kinalmot siya kaagad into. 

I grinned and went inside to order some food. I sat not far from Lily. While eating, I couldn't help but overhear their conversation. 

"Are you two together now?" seryosong tanong ni Miguel. 

"Ewan." Lily replied curtly, seeming to lose interest.

"What happened? Yesterday you two seemed sweet, why are you in a bad mood now?" Miguel jokingly asked. 

"Ask him!" 

Miguel laughed. "Alright, let's ask him." 

Suddenly, they both fell silent, causing me to glance over. Lily also happened to look in my direction. 

Her eyes widened, and she quickly averted her gaze. 

"You want me to ask him right? He's right behind you." Miguel said. 

"Migs!" Lily exclaimed, giving Miguel a suspicious look. 

"What?" patawang tanong ng lalaki. 

I heard their chairs creak, so I glanced over. Lily stood up and started to leave. 

I quickly followed them and grabbed her wrist. She stopped and looked at me. Miguel raised an eyebrow and sighed. 

"I'll wait for you outside," he told Lily before leaving. 

Lily let go of my grip and followed Miguel. But she stopped when I called her name. 

"Lily, please." 

She turned around, her eyebrows furrowed and anger was evident on her face. Tacobell jumped out of her grasp and immediately came to me. I picked her up and held her, feeling its body press against mine. I stroked its fur. 

"Akin na nga si Bell!" Lily said, quickly taking the cat from me. 

"Excuse me po, dadaan lang po." a child walked between us, causing her to leave quickly. 

I followed her and called her name but she didn't turn around and walked even faster. She glanced sideways, looking for Miguel. But nowhere to be found. 

"Where is that idiot!" she muttered. 

She ignored me and hurried her steps. I got closer, reached out, and held her hand. She turned around and scowled.
