I reached home finally, opening my two room apartment was h relieve. It wasn't much compared to others but it was home.
After freshening up, I heated my dinner which was spaghetti and meatballs for today. I ate healthy most times but today felt like cheating so cheat food is what I did.
Sitting on the couch with the food, I went through laptop for movies to binge watch as it was weekend and decided on harry Potter yet again.
But what was missing were my earpods. Where did I put them after their battery died?
My backpack, but they weren't.
May be I dropped them at the entrance.Oh god no..
I looked at the watch and it was still 7:00 pm. The college closed at 8:00 may be I could bring them back. It was a run away from my hands and as winters were approaching, we had a three day off due to snowfall warning. How am I gonna last so long without them inside and outside the apartment.
Thinking again I decided it was better to go and fetch the pods rather then spent the off days without them.
Feeling lazy to change in something decent, I wore my coat on the PJs and went out.I stopped with a bang at the main gate . But may be luck wasn't on my side as It closed early today.
"No no no...." i breathed brokenly.
I threw my bike on the side of the bushes and peeked through the gate spaces.
There was everything from juice boxes to beer bottles and what not but I couldn't see anyt polar bear shaped ear pods case.
Just when I lost all hope, my eyes went to a small shiny yellow box lying at the side of the fountain wall."Found it!!!" I happily cheered but soon I became queit because how am I going to get those with this gate closed shut.
"Open it!!!! " I shook the grill frustratingly to no avail.
Shoulders slouched, I went back towards my bike, bracing myself for all the time I was going to spend without my earpods. I could buy new ones but they won't reach before the end of off days and that made it even worse.
Just as I was heading back my eyes caught a blue car speeding towards the back road of the college.
Who was it and why were the speeding for the back road which no one used now?
