It felt as if the seasons had passed in the blink of an eye, from grueling heat waves to orange leaves in just seconds. It was the 25th of October and Halloween spirit was already in the air.

When Michael turned into the dull hospital room he was met by a sleeping luke along with a woman which he imagined was his mother.

"Good morning miss" Michael greeted, wearing a fake smile and trying his hardest to be polite

She returned his good morning with a smile "good morning I'm Liz, lukes mum and who might you be?"

"Oh I'm..im just a classmate" he replied not knowing how to classify himself

"Ohh right, what are you doing here so early I mean don't you have school?" She asked a slight tone of concern In her voice

"Oh well it is the last day of term and I thought this was a bit more important than school so yeah" he said with a sweet smile on his face

"Awe that is so cute I'm glad to know that Luke has such friends that care about him" she responded "hey since you are here I was wondering if it was alright if I went home, I mean the nurses called me at 4am telling me that he had woken up and of course I came here as quick as possible so I'm knackered"

"Oh of course" Michael smiled trying to leave a good impression "try and get some rest, I'll get the nurses to call you if anything changes"

Liz replied with endless 'goodbyes' and 'thank you for looking after my son' before finally exiting the room.
