Ronan didn't move, and Rosa started getting nervous. What was she thinking, flashing the most dangerous man alive her tits?

Abandon ship, abandon ship!

Clearly she wasn't thinking at all. Her brain was dead empty.

But then and again, she had a lengthy history with the most dangerous man alive and a responsibility to save his soul for the good of her sister. So maybe she got a free pass or two on some of her more stupid decisions.

She thrust her shirt back down, skin feeling hot.

And still he stared.

And stared.

And stared.

"Do you think that's wise?" He asked, just when she'd gotten to thinking he wouldn't say anything. She'd never seen him so vacant. Ronan has left the building.

Don't go getting sheepish now.

If temptress was the role she wanted to play, then she'd have to stick to her guns.

Nipples hard against her shirt, straining against the very fabric, she pushed herself up on her elbows, lodging her bottom lip between her teeth.

That's it Rosa—cool and calm.

"What's wise?"

"I'm unhinged, Rosa."

Like she needed that being pointed out to her.

"And flustered, it seems to me."

He took a step closer to the bed, cloak dragging across the floor.

Sometimes she seriously hated that damned cloak. Namely now. It was too loose for her to gage how hard he was underneath.

"That's a dangerous pass to make to prove your point," He murmured icily.

"Ah, but the point was proven."

Ronan was affected by the tit show, regardless of whether or not his reaction made any sense to her.

"Do you have any idea how long it's been since I touched a woman?"

Oddly enough, she didn't spend much time thinking about that. Ronan and other women. Blah.

Her brain got to picturing it now.

Ronan and Evette? He doesn't deal well with witches. Which ruled out a good portion of all the women in the Other World. Ronan and Fallon? Most men in the Other World fantasised about being with an Amazon. But he likes his control too much.

Really, there was no one better suited to him than herself.

Or was that the jealousy speaking?

Jealousy? Okay, so she knew they had a history, but jealous of another woman with Ronan was pushing it. Even if she'd find a way to kill whoever else his eyes looked at like that.

I'm sounding just as deranged as him.

She'd been spending too much time here alone. This was some Stockholm syndrome shit. Beaty and the beast.

"That depends," She forced herself to answer. "Are we talking specifically about pleasure or is strangulation and such off the table?"

"Twenty years," He answered.

Her brows shot up.

So Ronan hasn't taken another woman to bed since the last time he saw me?

Was that healthy? For him, specifically? Sex had, once upon a time, been his outlet.
