Hello There!
I know, I know, who the heck comes back about two years after to edit the ending to their Wattpad book, right?
Well, the previous ending always bothered me low-key. I think I MUST have been in a hurry to wrap it up then that I just slapped something together and called it a day. With all my heart still.
But that was the best I could do then and this is the best I can do now! I believe this ending is far more fitting for Violet and Angelo. They finally let each other have the final pieces of themselves that they were reluctant to share— Angelo's past and Violet's wholehearted trust. Can't believe I forgot that detail two years ago, hehe!
Anyhoo, there would be no epilogue. I don't really care for it as part of the main story anymore. You could read it as a little fun bit, not necessarily cannon. I would also put the previous ending down below for any potential rereaders (or anybody who's into that sort of thang *wink wink*). It's also not cannon and I don't agree with everything I put down there anymore.
And that would be all! I wish it didn't take so long, but here we are! I did it. LOVE YOU ALL!
THE END
SCRAPPED ENDING
A moment later, we were hurrying through the dark corners of the hall together, trying to make it out of the party and to the elevator without being detected by anyone we knew. It was much harder than it had to be considering we couldn't keep our hands off each other and kept pausing to make out.
"Shh. Wait I think Tia's coming." Angelo whispered, pulling me behind a huge flowerpot with him. Sure enough, Tia Monica passed by the hallway but was luckily carrying a stack of boxes like the busy woman she was.
The elevator across from us dinged and a group of neighbourhood moms noisily stepped out of it as the doors slid open.
"That's us, let's go!" I whispered, and pulled Angelo along, trying to run as quietly as possible. And just before the doors closed, we hopped inside with a happy cheer.
Luckily for us, no one else stepped in, it would have been awkward for them to find me pinned to the wall and very, very well um... kissed, but unluckily, we had to pull apart again when the doors opened before it was our floor.
I pulled my dress down hurriedly only to find a child waiting in the hallway with a lollipop almost as big as his face.
He stared at us and we stared back and he....stared some more, right into our eyes while licking his lollipop.
"He's judging us." Angelo whispered.
"I knew it." I whispered back and the doors shut again.
Finally we made it to Angelo's door without any other incident besides the drastic decline in both of our self control. Who knew it was so hard to choose between unlocking a door and making out against it? We chose to do both, and by the time we stumbled into his room I was delirious with want.
"Please.." I whispered against his lips, clutching at his back as his mouth explored my own, he tasted like wine and sweets and some other addictive substance. I wanted more. "Angie..." I groaned.
His lips tore away from mine and he stepped back suddenly, running his fingers through his hair as his chest heaved. "Violet... You..."
"Yes?" I said softly, watching him.
"I... Should get you something to change into." He whispered and looked down at his shirt, "I also have to..."
"We don't have to change, we can just take them off." I said lightly, bolder than I ever felt.
Angelo stared at me for a moment before blinking in confusion, "My love, I'm sorry, my brain is addled at the moment so I'm worried it's adding it's own meaning to your words."
"Your brain's fine. I want you." I said plainly, my sweaty hands gripping the material of my dress. Then I blushed, realizing I just said that out loud.
Several times, I'd seen the cogs turning in Angelo's head and wondered what he was thinking, but now it was just nothing. It was almost like his brain stopped working.
I closed the distance between us and his eyes followed me till I bumped my nose into his chest and looked up at him. "So you're not going to say anything?"
"She asks after casually exploding my mind." He said and I laughed, wrapping my arms around him. "I love you so much." He said into my hair. "I just wasn't expecting that."
"I love you too." I smiled, feeling less anxious this close to him. "We don't have to do anything if you don't-"
"I said I wasn't expecting this, not I wasn't hoping for this." He chuckled breathily before leaning down to kiss me, "I also very much want you, incase it isn't obvious." He muttered into our kiss.
I stretched up onto my toes and his hands glided over my hips before he picked me up and walked us to his bed where he put me down to stand by it.
One of my shoes had come off on the way here and now I was trying to get rid of his shirt without parting his lips from mine. In a second, he shrugged it off, shirt dropping to the floor. His skin was hot to the touch but he shuddered when my fingers slid up his back.
A rather embarrassing moan slipped out my mouth when he pulled back again, but looking at the want in his blown out eyes was almost as good as kissing him. I watched the intensity in his gaze as he gently took out the elastics and pins holding my hair up so that the curls fell around my shoulders.
"Sit down." He said hoarsely and I did just as he said.
Then he knelt in front of me, leaning down and pressing his lips to my knee. I chewed on my lower lip when his hand slid down my calf almost reverently, all the way to my ankle where he slipped my shoe off.
"You're so beautiful." He said, dragging his lips a little higher up my thigh. "Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked, raising his head to look at me, that slight drunkenness in his gaze.
I nodded, "Yes... m-maybe not all the way though...?" Perhaps I was still a little too anxious.
"Hm." He said softly, changing the direction of his caress and inching his hand higher. "Should I keep doing this Violet?"
"Yes please." I breathed.
"Tell me when to stop." He said, moving his hand higher more and more. I didn't tell him to stop, but I let out a deep gasp.
"Relax, Letty." He said, biting on his lower lip as he watched me. "I just remembered how sensitive you are."
"I'm okay... I just..." I didn't realize how hard I'd gripped his shoulder, like that would keep me from melting apart.
"Do you still trust me?" He asked, rising slowly so that I fell back against the bed and he hovered over me. I touched the hard muscles of his chest, locking my eyes with his.
"Always." I said, letting him toy with the straps of my dress, letting him peel them over my shoulders.
"Good, and I trust that you'll tell me what you want and what you don't." He said, lowering his head to kiss my neck and suck lightly at my skin. I dug my nails into his back.
"Ah..."
"You might have to do a lot of that." He whispered. "Okay?"
"Yeah." I nodded.
"You're in good hands." He said and I had a feeling he meant that in more ways than one.
I smiled, feeling safer than I ever had before. "I know."
THE SCRAPPED END.
