The boys have been incredibly confused and concerned as you've been locked away in your room for a few days now. No matter who knocks or how many times they try to get you to talk to them, you remain silent. It's gotten to the point where Michael was more than ready to knock your door down but Hannibal stopped him, reminding him of your rule about your room being off limits. If it wasn't for Hannibal telling everyone to have patience and to give you space, you likely would've been dragged out of your room by now.
Despite being told to give you space, a few things have been slid under your door. You haven't gotten out of bed to retrieve the items so they're slowly piling up in front of your door but you still glance at them to see what they are. It's pretty easy to tell who is sliding what under your door.
Danny always taps your door twice before sliding a picture of the two of you together underneath of it. After, he'll usually linger a few moments as if waiting to see if he can hear you moving to grab it at all. When he's met with nothing but silence he'll walk away, leaving you alone until the next day where he'll try again.
Jason will sit against your door for hours. You'd occasionally hear paper ruffling or the small quiet 'thunk' of him dropping crayons on the floor. After a few hours he'll slide either one or multiple drawings underneath your door, depending on what he was in the mood for. If it's one drawing, it's usually a lot more detailed and thought out. The multiple drawings are usually quick little sketches like the ones he'd give you back at the sanitarium.
Norman surprisingly has also slid a few things beneath your door. You haven't properly looked at them but from what you can tell they appear to be handwritten letters or poems. Unlike the others, he doesn't linger for long and will rush away almost immediately sliding his gift beneath the door.
The most surprising is Michael. The stoic giant has slowly but surely been becoming more comfortable with you to the point where he'll openly hold you at random times, or pull you onto his lap while watching TV. But watching random pieces of candy fly under your door shows you that he really does care about you. Michael loves his candy, and him willingly sharing some with you means a lot.
Lester, on the other hand, gives you magazines. He'll always chat to you as he slides them through, telling you that if you're going to lock yourself up you might as well have something to read. Then he'll apologize for only being able to fit magazines as books are too thick. After ranting for a while about what he's been up to he's usually chased away by Bo who tells him to leave you the hell alone.
Nobody else has given you anything thus far, seemingly taking Hannibal's advice to leave you alone seriously. You're thankful for the space as things have been a bit difficult for you the past few days since your nightmare with Freddy. Though you're thankful for the space, you're also thankful for the thoughtful gifts from all of them. It helps at least a little bit knowing that they're all there for you should you be ready to talk to them.
They, however, are hating the space.
"This sucks." Danny groans from his spot where he's spread across the couch.
"It may not be ideal but he needs his space. We've been with him practically twenty-four-seven since reuniting, so it makes sense that he'd need a break by now." Hannibal explains. He's been trying his best to keep everyone from losing their minds during your unannounced absence but there's only so much he can do or say before they snap.
"Does he hate us?" Brahms questions, genuinely worried that you've grown tired of their presence and of taking care of all of them. His question is met with an equally worried grunt from Bubba who has been wondering the same thing.
"He doesn't hate us." Bo snaps, annoyed at their constant moping. "Ya'll worry too damn much."
"We won't know what's going on until he decides to tell us, so until then we'll just have to be patient and wait for him to come to us when he's ready." Hannibal looks around the room at everyone, noting that they all still look dejected and upset. Even those of them who act as if you don't mean much to them and that they could care less about you seem less lively than usual. The man can only hope that you'll snap out of it soon so that everything can return to normal.
The conversation is interrupted by the front door opening where Billy and Stu enter. They visit everyday, not only to check to see if you've emerged from your room but also because they were kind enough to take over the grocery shopping since they're the only other ones with money and are able to be out in public.
"Still nothing?" Stu questions as he walks into the room with his hands filled with bags of groceries. Billy heads straight to the kitchen but still listens in for any updates about your situation.
"Still nothing." Danny groans, sitting up from his laying position on the couch. "Haven't heard a peep at all. We've tried but he hasn't answered any of us yet."
"And you're sure he's in there?" Billy questions, ignoring the glares he receives.
Hannibal, being the one least likely to snap or grow emotional, is the one to answer. "There's been a few times during the night where we'll hear footsteps or the sound of water running but that's about it."
"Why not just bust the door down?" Stu suggests, somewhat in a joking manner but mostly serious. He may not live with you, or know you like the others do, but he's grown to miss your presence quite a bit.
"Doc says we shouldn't" Danny nods his head towards Hannibal. "We just have to wait for him to come out on his own."
The conversation dies down after that as everyone gets lost in their own thoughts, Stu leaving the room to help Billy put the groceries away. They all know that they need to be patient and respect your privacy but there's only so much of this they can take. A few more days and one of them might just snap and break down your door anyways. They can only hope that you come out on your own before it gets to that point.
