Kaitlyn: (finally)

As Quinn ran out with Ella I started to cool down. To be honest, I didn't think she would actually leave considering Ella's safety. "Well, she's gone now. You happy?" My mom sighed, clearly annoyed with the both of us.

I just shook my head and went towards the stairs. "Wait Kaitlyn" My mom started, making me stop. "Since she left and there's clearly too much stress, how about we leave for Birmingham tomorrow?" She finished.

"But, what about Quinn?" I asked, turning around. "Kaitlyn, honey, she's upset. We both know she probably won't talk to you for a few days anyway. Plus you told Luke, and if something really bad happened we know she would probably tell him." She reasoned.

I nodded and proceeded to go to my room. I decided it would be best to text Luke and tell him before I told Quinn.

Within a minute Luke had texted me back telling me he would watch her and make sure she was safe. I immediately felt relief. I started to pack and decided to text Quinn later, considering she'll probably be more calm then.

When I finished packing all my clothes I texted Quinn, and of course she never texted back.

"Kaitlyn?" My mom yelled from downstairs. "Yeah mom?" I replied. "Go to bed. We have to get up early!" She yelled back with a yawn. I sighed and sat on my bed, checking my phone once again. Still no reply.

Quinn:

Ever since I've been home I've been cleaning. And listening to my father yell at me.

"You're worthless! That's why you have no one!" He yelled grabbing a beer from the fridge. "I know Richard." I said, mentally slapping myself for using his name. "What did you call me?" He said as he cocked his head towards me, teeth gritted.

"I-I'm sorry...father." I replied backing up slightly. "Not as sorry as you're gonna be." The alcohol in his breath stung my eyes. He kept walking towards me and I kept walking backwards.

"How's that little punk gonna save you now? What about Kaitlyn? No, it's just you and me now." He chuckled dryly.

That's all I remembered as I blacked out to more creepy laughing.

I woke up to a terrible pain in my head, back, and legs.  I forced my eyes open and sat up slowly taking in my surroundings. I was in the middle of my kitchen, on the floor. I looked beside of my leg to see my phone laying there vibrating.

As soon as I picked it up the screen went black. I clicked the home button and the screen lit up. I had two missed calls from Kaitlyn and one from Luke, and twelve unread messages. Two from Luke and ten from Kaitlyn.

I rolled my eyes and sighed.

As I forced myself up I noticed a small puddle of red liquid on the floor. Blood.

I jumped up, ignoring that gut wrenching pain all over and looked around. I had a cut on my arm and side. I squeezed my eyes shut at the sight of it. I'm pretty tough, but stuff like this is sickening.

Once I was on my feet without almost falling over a limped over to the bathroom. I decided that I should just get a shower, as it would be easier.

As I pealed my dirty, blood stained, clothes off I notices bruises starting to form on my legs, arms, and sides. I ignored it, knowing I couldn't do anything about it now.

I also knew I couldn't take much more of his beatings. They get worse every time. But where would I go? I'm sure as Hell not going to Luke.

I pushed those thoughts out of my head as I began to wash off. I hadn't even been in the shower for a minute and my phone started ringing again.

I peeked my head out of the shower curtain and looked to my phone. Luke was calling. I rolled my eyes again and continued with my shower.

Luke:

I was starting to get worried about Quinn. I've called and messaged her to see if she was okay and she never replied.

I decided to try one more time before I took action. "Luke just call one more time please! She's not answering me either!" Kaitlyn yelled through Michael's phone.

We were FaceTiming her, trying to see if Quinn was okay. "I tried Kaitlyn, what else do you want me to do?" I yelled back in frustration.

"Okay everyone just calm down. We know where she lives, lets just go check on her. We can keep Kaitlyn on the FaceTime, and all will be good."  Calum suggested.

I nodded and grabbed my coat, followed by every one else.

"When you get there just knock and wait for an answer, you know how her father is. Then if no one answers look through the window. Then you can just take it from there." Kaitlyn instructed as we drove down the road.

I nodded again and fiddled with my thumbs. "Dude, relax, it'll be okay." Michael said with a smile. "I know, I'm just afraid of what that man will do." I said remembering all the things Kaitlyn told me.

"I am too." Kaitlyn sighed from the phone in Michael's hand.

"Okay, we're here." I said as I took my seat belt off. "Remember, don't just bust in." Kaitlyn reminded me as I exited the car.

I slowly ascended the front porch steps and made my way to the front door. With a slightly shaky hand I knocked.

No answer.

I shifted sideways I peeped though the window.

Next thing I knew I was bursting through the door.
