She's angry and ready to kill anyone that was involved in his death."
She cleared her throat and continued
"Arden had to lock her up to calm her down when she felt him die. It took a few days to calm her but she seemed to come around and was let go free a few days later and now I'm guessing she's coming here for vengeance"
I groan and lay my weight against a tree shaking my head
"That is just fucking great, and why is Gemma working with her? Is she from a pack that you know gran?"

"Great, so we have a serial killer's mate after us who have already kidnapped some of our men. This is a damn joke, And to top it all off they can hide their scent. Just fucking great. Get people to follow this trail and find our men and tell them to be careful of the estate next door. Tell them to find them and then to contact us, do not move in until we say so. For now I'm taking the Luna home so please stay vigilant"
I bite my lip at his little hissy fit but I don't argue when he grabs my hand and takes off back to the house, the men call in reinforcements to search the area. I light a joint on the way home and share it with deacon but after I yawn again he bends down and scoops me up.

As I walk into our house I lay Ailm on the couch and cover her with a blanket, her mum frowns at me

Megan sits opposite me and sighs

Jake and Isla come in, Isla goes to the couch and lays beside Ailm and turns on the tv as Jake comes to us filling 2 cups and handing one to Isla who's yawning but he snatched it back from her and she growls. He leans down and she kisses him then he hands it to her and points to her feet

She rolls her eyes and kicks her shoes off while glaring at Jake then she takes her seat beside Ailm again.
"Don't look at me like that isla"
"Then stop acting like my father Jake"
He growls at her and she winks back and turns her attention back to the tv, he sighs shaking his head and turning back to us. I bite my lip to stop the chuckle. Isla was hilarious and kept him on his toes, one of me and Ailms favourite things to do was to watch them constantly butt heads, but they both secretly loved that about each other even if it also drove them up the wall.
"Any word?"
"No, Mike and the men are on their way back and we are going over a plan to get into the estate, I think we need to ring Luca and have him watch from his end"
I pull out my phone and frown looking up at Megan
"Any word on how fays fairing out over the estate?"
She pulls her own phone out
"Not sure but I'll ring and find out"
I ring Luca, it calls twice and he answers

"Hey, we have had an attack, 1 patrolman killed and 2 others kidnapped. Lilly came to scent them and one of them is Chris's mate and the other is Gemma"

"Don't know, but they disappeared over the estate line so we are trying to work out what is going on over there and I'm worried they will come out your side"
Luca
"I'll have mine double up and keep an eye out. Me and Aspen will be over soon so tell your men to let us through. Mike had the place locked down like fort knox. I tried to bring the last of the girls' things over and they wouldn't let me in until Mike ID'd me."

"Yeah he did it to Arden too. Said his laws don't apply here after one of his own kidnapped our Luna. He rang me very unimpressed but Ailm thought it was so funny she told Mike to do it every time one of you tries to cross. Luca laughs on the other side of the phone

"We will be over soon"
We hang up and I tell the patrols to let them through. Megan comes back in looking annoyed
"What is it?"
"Apparently they won't even take her call, she offered their lawyer double what the place is worth but they said no that it's been in there family for hundreds of years and they are not going to sell it to savages like us"
I snort and laugh with Jake and she rolls her eyes at us
"Trust you both to find that funny"

"We send teams around the entire property and find out where they came out from. Send another team around 40 feet away from the property incase they used their talents to hide their scent and maybe use a drone to scout the property from above"
"I'll grab the drone"
Jake gets up and disappears into his office, Ailm groans and I can feel how uncomfortable she is. Megan sees my face and frowns

It looks like a bird so people don't suspect it's a drone. Isla gets up and connects it with the tv and suddenly we are watching the pack from above. It's very interesting. It takes a few minutes to get to the estate line just as Lilly comes in with dad, Brian, drake and James.
"Hey son, good to have you home"
"Good to be back, we are using the drone to check our neighbours land. We think that's where they took our men"

It happened to Packs all over the place and only a few had let it slip that they were mated to the lycans and they would take them when they died but it was top secret, people rose up and wanted to find them, packs came together but they were gone without a trace. People looked for their kids for years until it suddenly stopped. People continued to look, they figured if they stopped it meant we were getting close but through the years people gave up and there was never anything to back up the stories and it hardly ever happened. Don't get me wrong it has happened through the years but not like before, never as often and honestly most people have forgotten the stories. I think you just found our secret Lycan pack. It's said they have only one colour of fur. All except for the alpha and Luna apparently they have bicolour fur or something. Anyway it looks like you found them"
"Why would they call us savages if we are Just like them?"
Megan asks annoyed
"Because we are not like them. Yes they shift into wolves but they came before us. They were evil savage creatures and eventually the witches came together and made primordial wolves like lilly and they protected the people, they killed a lot of Lycian and eventually they went into hiding and stopped their cruelty so they were left alone. Then the primordials mixed with the humans and spread out and eventually we made packs, the primordial gene is in most of us but only those who are worthy of using its power can access it like lilly. It looks like they have figured out how to hide over the years and to survive while not taking over the world."
Dad turns to me patting his chin
"Gemma died and her body disappeared before she was cremated"
"So that's why she looked so much like the girl that died. She was her the entire time. They were spying on us the whole time."
