HENRIK MIKAELSON WAS dead. niklaus had taken his brother to watch the werewolves form and one had attacked the youngest. the alden's and the mikaelsons had known there were other creatures out there. they had known for awhile. and esther was one of them. she had revealed that she was a witch.
of course the mikaelson siblings and winifred were terrified whenever the revelation had happened but they learned to accept it. there was nothing they could do to change it.
it had been 4 months since winnie had found out she was pregnant. if she had to guess, she would say she's about 7 months along. her stomach was big a noticeable. rebekah and erika had helped her prep a nursery for the new baby even with henriks death. henrik had been so excited for the baby. he had offered to help winnie with it when she needed a break or anything. but now he was gone.
mikael had gone on a rampage. he was angry and took it out on his children and even winnie. winifred had spent lots of time at the mikaelsons house to help esther with nik and the others. winnie could just be standing in the kitchen and it would set mikael off. it worried elijah that his wife was in danger.
elijah and winnie's marriage had gotten much better. they actually felt the love for one another and were more in a relationship than a friendship. it was the happiest they'd been. all thanks to the baby.
today, winnie decided to stay home and clean the house up. they hadn't been home much due to henrik and the mikaelsons and erika being so depressed, winnie couldn't clean. so she grabbed her broom and swept up any dirt or dust.
elijah walked in to the kitchen, spotting his wife sweeping. he came behind her and put his arms around her waist, resting his hands on her stomach.
"hi." winnie whispered, turning to face her husband. "what are you up too?"
"i am going to my mothers house to check on rebekah." elijah said. "she has seemed to be a little more depressed lately. would you like to join me?"
"i need to get caught up on cleaning." winnie sighed. "please give your sister my best."
"of course, my dear." elijah said, leaning forward to kiss her. it was just a quick peck. elijah looked into her eyes for what felt like an eternity before whispering, "i love you, winifred rose."
"i love you more, eli." winnie said softly. elijah bent down, keeping his hands on his wife's stomach and leaning forward to kiss the bump.
