HEY GUYS WHAT UP? I'm back with my cringe writing!!! 😝 Since summer break is almost over I decided to update this since I haven't updated since spring vacation. I will have to warn I didn't keep note of the plot and don't remember much of what I planned would happen. I will make this along the way.
-
After lunch, the king and queen called for a family meeting in a room that I had never seen before. (Not that I memorized all the rooms) Younger kids were taken care of by the most trusted maids.
A low table was surrounded by small cushions to sit on. Flowers in the center decorated the table. Light shone through the windows. Nature could be seen through the window. Guards protected the room as we all went in.
Everyone was in their most elegant kimono.
On each side of the table were 5 cushions. The queen sat next to the king, my parents sat next to them on the same side. My sister sat next to my parents. (They stayed over and will leave this night.)
Shinichiro, the oldest Sano son sat on the far left, across from his dad. Izana, the second oldest Sano son sat next to Shinichiro, accompanied by Emma. And finally, Manjiro and I sat next to each other.
The glare he gave me said, "I don't want to sit next to you and you don't want to sit next to me." At least he got that right.
"We will discuss the wedding before we go out and announce the engagement," Sakurako-sama said with a gentle smile on her face.
"Of course!" My mom responded. Shinichiro and Emma nodded eagerly. My sister had a very obvious fake smile on her face.
I tried analyzing Manjiro's expression. He seemed oblivious to the conversation that was happening. He just stared out the window waiting for his Sakurako-sama to dismiss us.
Great. My fiance is such a good listener!
I didn't notice I rolled my eyes out of habit until my sister stared at me to act my age.
Luckily, no one else seemed to notice. They were all too cut up in the conversation.
"I think it would be a great idea to have the couple have kids after their wedding. It would make our kingdom stronger." Izana said, clearly trying to get on Manjiro's nerves.
By now my sister was sweating trying to keep the smile on her face. My mom and dad were surprised at the idea but agreed without any trouble. Sakurako-sama was happy at the idea. While Makoto-Sama, the king, planned it was going to happen.
Manjiro turned his attention to Izana at the idea. He didn't disagree, he just gave Izana death stares while the older Sano tried to contain his laughter.
"Well, I think it would be great to wait a while before having kids. After all, I want to wait till we are comfortable enough with each other so our kid doesn't get affected." I spoke up. Trying to get Manjiro and me out of the mess Izana created.
At the end Makoto-sama and Sakurako-sama did agree. Later on, they decided the wedding time, what part of the town it would be hosted, and what foods we should have.
Half an hour later we were dismissed to go to the party where Mokoto-Sama would announce Mnajiro and I's engagement to everyone. The whole town.
While walking beside the Sano/Kurkawa siblings to go to the party, 3 guards came up to us. Emma asked me to wait for Mikey with her. Shinichiro-San and Izana-san went ahead.
"Mikey congratulations!" The tallest guard said. The three guards took off their masks. "Stupid mask, it's so hot." A guy with long black hair and cat-like eyes said.
"Manjiro is Mikey?" I asked Emma-chan in a whisper. Emma nodded. "It's what we call Manjiro as a nickname when we're alone," Emma whispered back.
A guy with short lilac hair turned to me and bowed at a perfect 45-degree angle. "Mitsuya Takashi, nice to meet you." He stood up again and smiled. "Nice to meet you too!" I responded with a genuine smile. He seemed very polite.
The long black-haired guy turned to me and bowed as well. "Baji Keisuke, a pleasure to meet you." He didn't sound like he meant it, but he was kind. "Likewise,"
Finally, the blond-haired guy turned to me and bowed. "Ryuguji Ken, it's a pleasure meeting you, Hanagki Takemichi." He was very polite. "Nice meeting you!" I happily said.
"Ah, right. Takemichi, Ken is my fiance." Emma-chan said. "Congratulations!" I smiled. "Thank you, Takemichi," Emma responded.
"I hope this idiot treats you right," Ken said. "Ken-chin! I do not treat women terribly!" Manjiro defended himself with a pout. "Uh-huh..." Ken rolled his eyes.
"He's not wrong, Mikey." Manjiro gasped dramatically. "I do not treat women terribly! Right, Takemitchy!?" Manjiro directed his gaze at me.
"Sure you don't," I responded followed by a sigh. Everyone laughed at that.
"Ah! It's already time!" Mitsuya-San said. We all hurried downstairs laughing and joking around.
"Stupid masks," Baji-san said.
Shinichiro and Izana were staring daggers into us as we came down. They were going to punish us for being late.
Everyone shook each other's hands. Emma guided me where to go. We followed Manjiro, Mitsuya-san, Baji-san, and Ken to a group of boys.
A quite large group at that.
"These are all Mikey's friends. They have been dying to meet you!" Emma giggled at the last sentence. I blushed at that. "Don't worry, they ate all too informal to judge you. Most of them are Mikey's childhood friends or guards he made friends with." Emma reassured. I smiled at that.
"Thank you for measuring me Emma-chan!"
"Anytime!"
