At that moment, Xu Yehua pushed the door open and entered. "Professor Zhu?"

Zhu Zhengqing suddenly remembered. "Oh, right. To celebrate winning the lawsuit, our project team decided to go out for dinner together tonight. We're going to the seafood buffet at Nanmen Street. Since Professor Meng has helped us so much, we'd like to invite you to join us as a token of gratitude."

Meng Zezhi instinctively refused, "You're being polite. It was just a small favor..."

Xu Yehua quickly interjected, "For Professor Meng, it may have been a small favor, but for us, it's like saving our entire project team. Professor Meng should take it as a chance to relax. After all, staying in the lab all day can be quite frustrating. What do you think?"

With the matter laid out like this, Meng Zezhi glanced at Zhu Zhengqing and nodded, "Well then, I'll go along with your suggestion."

Zhu Zhengqing's mood couldn't help but lift a bit. "Since that's settled, let's leave now. It'll be rush hour soon, and it's easy to get stuck in traffic."

"Okay," Meng Zezhi agreed. "I'll tidy up the lab first."

"Sure."

After organizing the experimental instruments and drugs and locking the laboratory door, the three of them went straight to the elevator, with Xu Yehua on the left, Meng Zezhi on the right, and Zhu Zhengqing in the middle.

Upon reaching the fourth floor, the elevator doors opened, revealing a group of workers carrying tools. The other side smiled politely before squeezing in. Zhu Zhengqing moved backward with the crowd.

Just as the elevator doors were closing, the phone of the person in front accidentally fell to the ground. He instinctively bent down to pick it up, but due to his overly rounded figure, he inadvertently bumped into Zhu Zhengqing's thigh.

Zhu Zhengqing lost his balance and stumbled backward, hitting a meat wall.

"Sorry, sorry..." The person picked up his phone and realized what had happened, apologizing profusely.

"It's okay." Zhu Zhengqing regained his balance, turned around, and came face to face with a familiar face.

Faintly, he detected a familiar scent of medicine.

Then, Meng Zezhi's voice sounded beside him, "Are you okay?"

Ignoring any further thoughts, Zhu Zhengqing's mood became more complicated. He uttered two words, "I'm fine," before slowly turning back around.

Meng Zezhi lowered his eyes, absentmindedly thinking that Zhu Zhengqing's waist was really thin.

It was silent all the way, and when they arrived, everyone else was already there.

Since it was a celebration, the chosen restaurant was undoubtedly upscale. The seafood buffet was of high quality and cost 481 yuan per person, offering a variety of options including dungeness crab legs, pacific geoducks, scallops, and Argentine red shrimp. Sashimi was also freshly made on-site, looking quite appetizing.

The group reserved a private room and, considering Meng Zezhi was currently on medication, he abstained from raw and cold foods. He only ordered some crab legs, grilled oysters, and an apple juice for a drink.

As for the others, they naturally ordered white wine.

"Come on, let's toast to Professor Zhu. He has been abroad for a long time and probably hasn't had much white wine," someone proposed.

Zhu Zhengqing's eyes darkened slightly, as if he had made up his mind about something. Without hesitation, he raised a small glass of white wine and downed it in one gulp. The fiery liquor burned down his throat, bringing a hint of moisture to his eyes.
