I stared down at the razor in my hands as all his words kept replaying in my head. Worthless, pathetic, ugly, you could die and no one would ever miss you. I looked back at my reflection in the mirror, was he right? Would anyone miss me if I died? I thought brothers were supposed to love you and protect you, not be the reason you went to die everyday.
"Elle! Hurry up, we're going to be late if we don't leave now!" Dad yelled from downstairs. I threw the razor back in the drawer and grabbed my bag to make my way out. to dads car. As we made our way to school I mentally prepared myself for the start of the new year at school.
I walked into the school gates and went to main office to get my timetable. With my schedule in hand I made my way to my locker to get my books for the day. Since of was only the first day I knew we wouldn't need many.
As the bell rang I made my way to my first class, which, knowing my luck, was gym. I walked into the sport Hall and automatically saw my best friend Reece on the other side of the class. I made my way over and slumped down next to him closing my eyes.
"Another sleepless night?" he asked while rubbing my back soothingly. I just nodded my head not wanting to talk about it. "We can go to our spot at lunch at talk OK?" He whispered into my ear sending goosebumps down my arms. Once again I replied with a nod. Even though I don't like talking about it, Reece is the one person that I actually do open up to.
Reece and I had been best friends for 16 years now, we met when we were almost 2 and I cannot remember him not being by my side. He was the only one that knew about everything at home, and all the times I tried to die because I felt worthless and ugly. he was absolutely amazing. But of course, I friend zoned him. Like I do with every guy. He never liked me more than a frienda anyway, so it worked out.
Turning all my focus back to gym class, I looked around the room and saw all the typical jocks and cheerleaders in their usual spots. As my eyes scanned the room, I noticed a face that wasn't familiar. Just as my eyes landed on him, he caught my gaze with most beautiful blue eyes I had ever seen. He gave me a heart stopping smile and stood up and started making his way over to Reece and I.
"Hey, I'm Levi. I just moved to town with my family." He said as he stood next to Reece.
"Hey man, I'm Reece, and this it Elle. You can hang with us if you like. we're not as conceded as those guy." Reece replied nodding his head to the jocks. I smiled up at him as to say hello and my eyes were caught with his again.
We spent the lesson going over what we would be doing for the term in gym. The rest of the day went by in a blur. It turned out Levi was in all of my classes along with Reece.
As the final bell rang signalling school was over I slung my bag over my shoulder and went out and waited by Reeces pick up truck like I did everyday. we always went out shopping after school and I would normally stay at his house. Not long after Reece came out and we drove around aimlessly for 3 hours straight until we decided to go him for dinner then to bed.
