Part ~ 1 [ᴄᴀғᴇ́]

𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: The café where Yuji was set up with Yuko Ozawa.
In this AU, Yuko isn't present and Nobara went to the café herself.

𝐍𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕:
She's sitting in a booth next to one of the windows.

"Huh..
I thought I'd come here just to relax but I'm feeling bored so I guess I'll call Fushiguro to join me.
Let me call him real quick."

I dial Fushiguro's phone number.

"Hello, Fushiguro?"

Megumi: "Yes?"

"I'm at a café.
Wanna join me?
Bring Itadori along as well.
We three can hang out or whatever."

"Sure.
Where are you?"

"I'll send you my location."

"Great."

"Okay, bye then."

"Bye."

He hangs up.
I send him my location, which he's supposed to forward to Itadori.
After around 10 to 15 minutes, Fushiguro shows up at the café and sits down next to me at my table.

Nobara: "You showed up faster than I expected you to."

Megumi: "Well, yeah, I have nothing better to do anyways, so I showed up."

We both sit there in silence for a bit, and he's clearly as bored as I am.

"Wanna order something while we wait for Itadori?"

"Sure.
I'll grab us a menu."

He hands me a menu and I take a look at what's on it.
The usual stuff you'd find at a café, such as drinks, pastries, coffee, etc.
But the problem is that everything is so overpriced.
I sigh.
I guess he noticed the frown that started to show on my face, as he asks me a question.

"You okay?"

Nobara: "Yeah, it's just that the stuff here is pretty expensive.
I didn't carry much cash today."

"I see.
Well, don't worry, I'll pay for the both of us."

"You know I don't take favours.
And I know you're rich, okay?
Just because you can pay for me too doesn't mean I'll let you treat me like I'm poor."

"I didn't mean it like that.
And it's not a favour, just so you know.
I'm just helping you out.
Order whatever you'd like, Kugisaki.
Just don't forget to pay me back later."

I blush a little, though I try my best to hide that from him.
I just hope he didn't notice that.
He's being so nice to me today, for some reason.
And I don't necessarily mind that.

Nobara: "Uh, sure, then.
I'll get an iced coffee."

Megumi: "That's it?"

"Yep.
I'm not that hungry, either."

"Alright then.
I'll get some hot chocolate."

We both give a waitress our order, and wait for her to bring our drinks.
She arrives fairly quickly, as Fushiguro pays her and takes our drinks.
He hands me my iced coffee, and starts sipping his hot chocolate slowly.

Nobara: "So.. Uh.. When is Itadori gonna arrive?
We've been waiting for him for a while now."

Megumi: "He said he'll be here right around now.
Just wait a few minutes more.
He'll show up, I'm sure of it."

As Fushiguro predicted, Itadori arrived around five minutes later.

Yuji: "Hey guys!"

Megumi: "Hi."

Nobara: "What took you so long?"

Yuji: "It takes a while to walk, y'know.
Anyways..
I got us three tickets to Human Earthworm 4."

Nobara: "Seriously?"

I scoff.

"I haven't even watched the previous parts yet.
Are you sure it'll be okay?"

"Of course, that's fine.
You'll enjoy it either way.
And--"

Itadori pauses.

"Wait you guys got drinks without me?
Rude."

Nobara: "Chill dude, we didn't even know when you were gonna arrive."

"I heard this café's pretty expensive though.
How'd you even pay for this?"

Megumi: "Uh.. I paid for the two of us.
Kugisaki owes me some money now."

Fushiguro nudges me playfully, yet it's subtle enough so Itadori doesn't notice.

Nobara: "Shut up."

Yuji: "Well, Fushiguro's being extra nice today.
I wonder why?"

He teases us playfully, making me feel a little shy.
I didn't show it, obviously.
I glance over at Fushiguro, who has that same neutral expression that he always does.
His cheeks look a little pink though.
He replies, his tone calm and unbothered.

Megumi: "I was just helping her out.
It's nothing to dwell upon in a romantic sense."

Yuji: "Whatever you say.
Anyways, the movie's gonna show soon.
We gotta go to the theatre now if we wanna reach in time.
Let's go, then?"

I look at Fushiguro, he nods, and we both get up and walk out of the café with Itadori taking the lead.
