She's been sitting on her bed, thinking about what it is that she's feeling regarding Megumi.
Eventually, she decides to leave it be and cooks dinner for herself.
After dinner, she changes her clothes and lies down on her bed, just scrolling mindlessly on Instagram.
She gets a text from Megumi.

Megumi: "Hey."

Nobara: "Hi"

↘"It's pretty late.
It's around 11 PM already.
Just wanted to know why you're up at this hour."

"I'm just scrolling through reels for a bit."

↘"Okay.
You wanna talk about something?"

"I dunno.
What abt?"

↘"Uh, anything, really.
Actually, I heard that Itadori's busy tomorrow, so I thought you might like to hang out."

"Oh yea?
Why's he busy?"

↘"He said he's hanging out with that guy from the Kyoto school, Todo, I think."

"Oh, ok."

↘"Well, what I want to ask you is, wanna hang out tomorrow?
Just the two of us."

"Uh, I was actually planning on going shopping tmrw."

↘"Are you going with someone?"

"Nah, I'm going alone.
But now that you said you wanted to hang out, I have an idea.
Wanna go shopping together??"

↘"Sure, I guess.
I don't really need to buy anything though."

"No prob.
I'll pay for something, whatever it is you'd like to buy.
Since you payed on my behalf earlier in the café."

↘"Is that alright with you, though?"

"Yea, it's fine.
Let's meet up tmrw at like 10 AM??
There's a shopping mall nearby.
Walking distance."

↘"Alright.
See you tomorrow, then?"

"Yep.
See ya tomorrow."

↘"Sleep now, okay?
Don't stay up too late.
it's not good for your well-being.
I'm going to bed now."

"Ok, I'll sleep soon too.
Bye.
Night."

↘"Good night, Kugisaki."

I turn my phone off and plug it in to charge overnight.
I turn off the lights and cover myself with my blanket, just staring at the ceiling.
I don't know how much time has passed since I stopped texting Fushiguro.

He cares.
He actually cares.
He cares about my well-being.
He wants me to take care of myself.
Or is he just being nice?
Am I overthinking this?
Does he do this with everyone?
I don't want to think about him right now.
It's keeping me awake.

She eventually does fall asleep, a bit enthusiastic about the shopping trip she has planned with Megumi the next day.
