KAVEH POV :
"You must be joking."I sighed, compalining to the professor.
"Kaveh, consider it as a blessing I paired you up with that boy. Besides, I knoq about your situation."The professor replied.
"Professor, please I beg you. Change my partner."I begged, with a firm tone.
"I am afraid I cannot change anything, Kaveh. But I wish that the Archons bless you and bring you to success along with Alhaitham. Now, you are dismissed."He said, gesturing me to leave his office.

KAVEH'S POV :
"Absolute garbage, this school."I muttered, stomping out of the principals office.
"A bit rude of you to insult this school right onfront of the Principal's office, eh?"A voice said. The voice was unfamiliar. It was deep and cold, it was also rather blunt.
"I AM NOT IN THE MOOD TO TALK TO ANYONE RIGHT NOW."I said in a firm tone, not looking up and still focusing on the ground im walking on.
"Of course, that attitude."The man sighed.
"Cyno has told me all about you of course, and that attitude is something he mentioned for me not to mess with."He spoke.
"You have no right to ask about someone without their permission."I said, still not looking up.
"How could I not know you? You're the person beneath me, the smart-ass trying their best to beat me."He said. After he spoke those words I already knew who it was.
The man of arrogance and intelligence, Alhaitham. I just look up and glared at him.
"You must be upset that I got paired with you."He spoke.
"I am not in the mood of talking about that right now! I wish all night to be paired with anyone but you! I don't care if you speak about my academic performance but I will make my words clear. I am only here for the prize and the grades." I shouted.
"Certainly didn't expect that outburst but I assure you, no matter how hard you try you'll still be at the bottom, forever a Top 2."He said.
"I hate you so much, Alhaitham."I muttered.

KAVEH'S POV:
"KAVEH! Get down here right now!"Venti spoke, calling me downstairs.
Its a Saturday, he better not make me do housework again, im exhausted.
I go down to the couch, I saw Cynop, Collei, and Ajax sitting at the couch, having a conversation while having some tea.
"Someone is at the door, it appears they're looking for you."Venti spoke.
"Do you know who they are?"I asked.
"I was too lazy to ask, but the voice does sound familiar. Now go check outside, I didn't even open the door to look at who he is, I just told him to wait."He said, cutting some fruits for a smoothie he'll make for Collei.
I sighed and just opened the door.
"For Archons sake."I sighed.
"Are you not glad I came here?"He asked, raising his eyebrow.
I just glared at him, waiting for him to continue.
"The Akademiya has already distributed the missions, quests, rather by letters. For what I know, I assume that you haven't opened the letter the Akademiya sent yet."He stated.
"Quit acting like we're close."I sighed.
"But you do have a point, I haven't opened my mail yet. The last time I opened it was 3 weeks ago. But I had my reasons."I said, still in an annoyed tone.
"I am here for us to discuss about departure from Sumeru."He spoke.
"Departure? Im sorry but nothing was mentioned about leaving this city for quests."I said.
"Don't tell me you didn't expect that?"he sighed.
"But I suppose your brain couldn't process it all like how mine does."He added, confidently.
"Shut it! Its all just because I never even thought about the quests. Thinking about all the things there is to do drives me crazy. Especially because you are the one I've been paired with, only the Archons know what'll happen."I said.
"Maybe you'll leave me in a lake to drown, or a cave to starve in, or take the prize all to yourself."I added.
He just stayed silent, glaring at me like he was judging my entire existence.
"Each pair has a different quest. The one we got takes place in Fontaine."he said.
FONTAINE?!?!? THE NATION OF JUSTICE?!?!?!?
"Tell me you're joking. I am not willing to travel all the way there with you."I said.
"I am not. And you must travel with me, if one of us departs from the quest, we are disqualified. Also, think for once. Do not let your emotions control you. Think about the academic benefits this will give us."He said bluntly.
"What would I even expect from such a blunt and cold person like you to tolerate my feelings? But whatever, lets discuss about when we are going to leave. Besides, how much time do we have before the Akademiya's deadline of finishing the quest?"I asked.
"We have approximately a month, meaning we have 720-730 hours because its an average 30-day month. But since the time is running...."He looked at his watch.
"We only have 713 hours left."He added.
This man, thinking hes so smart and above-all, only the Archons know how we're even going to work together.
"Since you consider yourself so smart, do you have any ideas?"I said.
"I plan that we leave in the range of the 713- 690 hours range for a fast and good start."He said.
"The weather is quite unpredictable in the outskirts of Sumeru and I wouldn't want any of the two of us sick during the quest."he added.
"I will give you the time to think about the final decision. I expect your reply about the decision by tomorrow, send me a letter or visit my dorm, your choice."he said as he stared to walk away, that bastard.
