Erika's POV (Point Of View)

I watched him stood there...watching her while she slept.

He didn't know I was right there watching him...but part of me wanted to say something to him.
I wasn't quite sure what I would say.
It was the first time I'd ever felt like this since we died together in this room.

Tate and Violet had become quite good friends- although it was obvious Violet liked him.
Tate on the other hand...I didn't read too much into it. I didn't care.

- THE NEXT DAY -

Tate was in his therapy session. Finally.

I stood outside the front door, acting the part of the girl who 'lived down the street'.

The door opened and it was Violet. She smiled and let me in.
We laughed about some inside joke as I entered, then we went up to her room.

We did was we usually did. Listened to music and talked and joked about stupid shit.

She also began to open up to me about her parents and childhood- nice to see she trusted me enough.
We'd been hanging out in her room occasionally for about a month now, so I supposed she did feel comfortable around me now.

"So yeah..that's what happened" she finished.
She had just told me everything about her dad's affair, how her mom slashed him with a knife, how the girl was 21 and one of his students.

"Damn" I tutted.
I laid on her floor throwing a small bouncy ball up in the air and catching it.
Her situation sounded similar to what had happened between my mom and dad...which was really strange.

"I guess it's not so bad here though, I met someone"

The ball landed back in my hand and I sat up.
"You met someone?"

I already knew what she was about to say.

"Yeah, a boy"

I forced a grin.
"A boy?"

She nodded, looking down. She leant back on her bed.
"He's cool, you should meet him"

I laughed nervously.
"Yeah, sometime I guess"

"He's one of my dad's patients, I guess that's weird"
She laughed.

I shook my head, laughing along.
I felt so awkward.

"So...you like him then?" I asked, rolling the ball on the floor.

She thought a moment, her eyes glued on the ceiling now.
"Like I said, he's cool"

Ah. Keeping her cards close to her chest. Classic Violet.
I knew the real answer.

"He usually sneaks up to see me sometimes after his sessions" she sat up and looked down at me.

"Wait" she raised her brows.
"Stay, meet him"

I shook my head, letting out another nervous laugh.
"No i-"

"He likes nirvana too, i told him you did"

"You did?!" I blurted loudly. Suddenly then I remembered that I'm Ruby, not Erika.

"Yeah...well I just thought-"

"No, sorry" I scrunched my face up, covering it with my hand.
"It's fine, sorry"
