-TATES POV (Point Of View)-

"So Tate, that concludes our session for today"

I nodded, forcing a smile.

As Ben and I kept having these sessions I could tell he was becoming more and more wary of me.
I didn't understand why, compared to him I was an angel.
He was a liar and a cheat. Pure scum.
Violet deserved better for a father.

Violet had told me Ben and Vivian were expecting a baby.
Ben didn't deserve that baby.
There were others who deserved a baby more than him and would love and care for it better than he would.

I left Bens office and entered the entrance hall, making it sound like I was leaving.

I could hear Violet's music playing upstairs.
I wanted to see her badly.
I always wanted to after my sessions, she calmed me down. I hadn't felt that for a long time, so seeing her was nice.

I creeped up the stairs and toward her bedroom door.

"Tate" she grinned, standing up from her bed.

"Hey" I smiled, closing her door behind me.

I instantly made my way to her until we met in the middle of the room.
We hugged.
We hugged when we saw each other now, and it felt good.

"I got a new book and a new CD but the CD sucks so I won't play it" she looked up at me, my arms still around her.

"You can play it, I can listen to most things"
My eyes peered down and scanned her face.

She pulled away and turned to grab the book she told me about.
"Here"

"Harry Potter?"
I furrowed my brows.

"I've never read the books but some kids at school won't shut up about them so I thought I'd see if they're actually good or not"

"I've never heard of it at all"
I gave the book back to her.

"You mean you've never read it?"

"No" I shook my head.
"I've never heard of it"

"You've never heard of Harry Potter?" She chuckled softly, sort of in slight disbelief.

"Why? Why're you so shocked?"
I jokingly scrunched my face up in confusion.

"I've never read it but I've heard of it, it's crazy famous"
She explained, almost like she was stating the obvious.

I shook my head, once again showing I had no clue what she was talking about.

"I thought I lived under a rock" she joked under her breath, turning back to her bed.
"Even Ruby didn't know what Harry Potter was"

"Your friend? She didn't know it either?"
I sat down on the floor cross legged.

"Yeah...I showed her and she had the exact same reaction you did. She had no clue what Harry Potter was at all"

"Well in that case you're right, Ruby and I probably would get along then"

Violet laughed, nodding.
"You would...I wish you guys could meet, but she always has to leave just before you finish your sessions"
