A Love Like Theirs (Prem Preeti One shots)

Their Reconciliation

This shot is going to be a continuation of the hospital scene where the family insists on them getting back together. Them being their shy selves do not respond to it and leave the room.

Preeti's POV

Preeti's cabin
She takes a seat with a loud sigh escaping her lips.. how does she always end up in a situation like this.. all the events of the past few months flash before her eyes.. her heart finally at peace after this long rough patch hitting their relationship. She is still unsure of what is running in his mind.
A knock on the door brings her back to reality.

An enthusiastic Vinod jumps in "Dr. Preeti.. maa apne haatho se sabke liye lunch banake laayi hai aur sabka favorite halwa bhi."

And the next moment she is pulled back into the ward where the whole family awaits her. Loud sounds of laughters and giggles filling the room finally assure her that the storm has finally passed. She looks around to see Prem missing from the scene. As if on the cue he walks in with boxes of motichoor ladoos as a token of celebration from the baby's Chachu! Both of them share a mini eyelock and her heart skips a beat at his usual charming smile directed especially at her.

The lunch couldn't be more special with the family rejoicing together after so long teasing laughing and feeding each other. Preeti couldn't help but steal glances at him to find him already looking at her each time and her heart does somersaults while her cheeks get heated up as a blush crept up her neck.

Prem's POV

He is the happiest man on earth today. Finally his Bhaiya Bhabhi would be back home with him.. to where they belong. The cherry on cake Sadhna Bhabhi insisted him to reconcile his relationship with Preeti. Not being able to hold on any longer he left the room only to see Preeti exiting soon and moving to her cabin.

He wanted to talk to her.. to pull her into his arms.. to scream his heart out in front of her.. telling her how precious she is to him and how grateful he is to have her beside throughout this fiasco. A part of him feels the weight of guilt he holds for having called off their engagement. He appreciates the support she had shown for him. He promises to make up for all of it with his love. Thinking of ways to talk to her he leaves the hospital only to return with ladoos- Motichoor ladoos.. Preeti's favorite ones. He enters Sadhna bhabhi's ward and the first person he saw is the face that lights up his world. He looks upto Preeti's curious gaze and his heart melts at the innocence she holds spreading a heart melting smile on his lips.

Throughout the lunch he couldn't get his eyes off her.. her eyes glowing differently today cast a spell on him. The way she was intently listening to Anand Babu's anecdotes and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, his heart swelling with pride when Sadhna Bhabhi exclaims how amazing of a doctor she has been throughout. The frown that grew on her face when her father retorts "Isse itna bhi sarr pe mat chadhao". Her melodious laughter sounds like a melody to him when she laughs at Vinod's silly jokes. He does a mini victory dance in his head when he notices her looking back at him. While relishing the taste of halwa he mentally promises himself the next halwa he is going to have will be from her hands... After all it's their love language!

Soon the visiting hours are over and Preeti insists on staying in the hospital and after a lot of negotiations with Maa Mami and others successfully sends everybody off.

Prem glances at Preeti as she leaves the ward heading to her cabin. The elderly have left and it's just the ladies Sadhna Bhabhi Sapna Sangeeta inquisitively looking at Prem who is busy admiring the little bundle of joy sleeping in his cot.

"Ahmm ahmmm" both Sangeeta and Sapna cough in unison gaining his attention. He turns back at them and silently asks "What?".

A frustrated Sangeeta yells "Seriously Prem Bhaiya aapko abhi bhi jaan na hai what... Are aap kuch to izzat rakho apne naam ki kis baat ki der kar rhe ho use approach krne me aur meri best friend ko meri bhabhi bnane me".

Taken aback due to the her unexpected demand before he could reply Sadhna Bhabhi asks "Preeti ko kaafi intezar kara chuke hain aap Prem Bhaiya... Ab to ye chhote mehman bhi apni doctor ko apni Chachi bnte dekhna chahte hain". Seeing the hesitation in Prem's eyes Sapna lightly holds his arm "Sab theek haina Prem Bhaiya?"

Before he could explain an over excited Vinod jumps in overhearing the conversation.

"Are ladies aaplog chinta mat kariye aise hi inhe chhupe rustom nhi kehta mai.. mujhe bhi inn dono ki chinta thi but phir Prem bhaiya ke mobile bills Office se cafe ke chakkar aur Bhabhi ke hospital ki parking slips inki gadi me dekhke I realised ki bhaiya meri sangat me rehke sudhar gye hain",earning eye rolls from the ladies and a death stare from Prem.

Vinod makes a run out of the room saving himself from the wrath of his brother screaming a goodbye to Sadhna Bhabhi and the baby.

Prem smiles at them "Bhabhi... I promise thoda sa aur time dijiye mai sab theek krdunga" leaving the room silently earning smiles from the ladies.

Reaching haveli at Rampur he mentally cherishes the sweet moments spent with her during their trip and a smile automatically appears on his lips. He enters his room fetches her picture out from his bag caressing it slowly, his eyes expressing longing with tinge of guilt and lots of hope. He lies down holding the picture close to his heart murmuring to himself "I'll make up for everything Preeti... Mai sab theek krdunga". Thinking of ways to bring a smile on her face he drifts into a peaceful sleep god knows after how long.

In the evening his mother enters his room to see him hugging a picture close to himself and in a deep contented sleep. She smiles at him and softly taps his cheek. He wakes up with a smile looking at his mother but suddenly straightens himself realising his position and the picture in his hands. A faint blush crepts his cheek as he places the frame on the side table next to his own picture. His mother caresses his cheek mouthing a sorry and he held her hand as soon as a tear trickles down her cheek. He gently wipes it off  "Maa.. purani baatein nhi krte.. ab to bas ek nayi shuruat krni hai" kissing his forehead his mother picks up Preeti's picture handing it to him "Ye nayi shuruat bahut khoobsurat hogi.. khaana bna diya hai le jaa Preeti ke liye aur kehde jo bhi tere Dil me hai.. humesha samjha hai usne bass tere keh dene se iss baar bhi samajh jaayegi."

As Maa leaves the room he smiles at her picture lightly kissing it. He gets up in a jiffy all set to meet her. Their long separation is coming to an end and this is going to be probably their last half an hour apart from each other as he speeds his car meanwhile his heart racing with each second bringing him close to her.

So Prem is going to meet Preeti confessing and sorting everything said and unsaid amongst them.
Will it be easy or something more up in the store for them ?
