Their families were gone to attend a family wedding. Prem couldn't go on the last minute due to his urgent conference he had to attend and Preeti returned the same night the event was done due to limited no. of leaves she managed to get. Others stayed back to attend post wedding rituals and would be back in a day or two.
Preeti's POV
Preeti smiled as she saw his text "Leaving in 5 mins❤️."
She was gone for a week and oh lord how much she missed him. In last 4 months of being married, this was the longest they were apart. Whenever she went to her Papa's place either he would drop in too giving lame excuses or would coax her into coming back sooner. She smiled as she brushed her hair, looking at the mirror, the dark mehendi adorning her hands, the deep red chooda that jingled as she moved to put a tiny bindi on her forehead. She fixed the pallu of her saree and took a final look at herself. In a royal blue shiffon saree, she looked simple and beautiful - just like he liked.
She was never so fond of dressing up, putting tonnes of make up, but she likes it when he notices the slightest details about her, be it her earrings or bangles or perfume or the gajra he gets for her sometimes, when he appreciates and compliments her. In short she liked dressing up for him, and for a rare chance having nobody at home she wanted the evening to be special.
She descended the stairs with a loudly beating heart. The doorbell rang and she excitedly ran to open the door.
The moment the door opened she crashed onto him.
Prem's POV
In the office he had no clue about the ongoing presentation. He couldn't wait for this god damn meeting to wind up so that he could run back home and hold his wife in his arms. He felt so lonely these days without her though she had cheered him up saying they should re-live their dating phase and reminsce the late night phone call memories.
His wife is a hopeless romantic, He smiled.
Wait he's been smiling since too long.He looked up suddenly to find his colleagues cum friends giving him teasing glances.
He stood up abruptly, too embarassed, "Okay so done for the day. I'll see you guys tomorrow". As he heard them say "Koi baat nhi nayi nayi shaadi hui hai bhai..we understand."He drove back home, not before stopping by to get roses for her.
His nerves getting excited with each moment as he parked his car in the porche. With a thudding heart, he pressed the doorbell. The door open and even before he could take his good time to look at his wife, she carshed on him with so much enthusiasm that he stumbled half a step back.
"I missed you" He said.
"I missed you more" She replied tightening her hold on him.His smile widened as he slightly lifted her up, twirling her and they giggled as he whispered in her ear,"Itna miss kiya mujhe".
"Bahut", she said, pressing her lips on his cheek for tad bit longer.
He pecked her lips muttering, "I love you" forwarding the roses.
She blushed.
His gaze struck at her, the saree made her look surreal, his hand roamed around her exposed waist sending chills down her spine, with the other hand he clutched her palm, kissing her mehendi clad hand.
"Kya baat hai biwi ji... Kuch plans hai kya aapke aaj?" His breath got struck as he felt her hands move up his chest, she grasped his collar pulling him closer, "Haan..." and kissed him.
He was too shocked to respond. Shy Preeti has a bold side too which hardly comes out but when it does, she definitely leaves his mind blown.
He circled his arms around her neck, tilting his head, kissing her back, harder. She moaned and he felt his last resolve break as he left her breathless and immediately picked her up moving to their room.
